Storm roared to victory in their final league game of the year - soft pitch which definitely was more cut up by the end. Vincent in net, Alfie and Fred at the back with Henry and James on the wings.
Storm started slowly with Moorside having the better of it, disjointed passing and sole errors giving Moorside chances on goal. Beechfield did get a handle after the initial period with Henry on the right of midfield tickling the ball in which James poked home from close range.
Storm started to pepper the goal with Fred who hit the post from distance and then again hit by Jimmy from some more fantastic work by Henry who was the creative force. However, against the run of play a pot shot from Moorside made its way past Vincent in goal.
Imad was introduced and had an immediate impact & secured a rapid hat-trick, following pressure a spill from the goal keeper was collected and finished. Shortly after some more Moorside pressure the goal of the game - a Moorside corner was taken out, well saved by Vince and taken from the back by Fred who then in turn found James, who powered through the heart of the defence and slid the ball through to Imad who was clean through - he finished clinically. Finally the cherry on top as Imad won possession up top and slotted the ball past the goal keeper.
Henry wanting to get in on the action slammed the ball against the post from close range and Imad's corner just alluding him.
Storm now in their grove finished the half with a couple more goals - Henry taking yet another assist from a fantastic dribble fed through Fred who made no mistake by lacing it into the bottom right. Final goal of the half came in the way of Imad again - Henry played through Fred who took it to the by line and crossed it in finding Imad who finished well.
Beechy continued the second half like the first - a ball in from Alfie to James who flicked the ball up, handled by the opposition. James picked the ball up and slammed it home into the bottom left from the resulting penalty.
Imad turned creator by getting the ball in - James going close, Henry unable to get his foot on a fantastic cross and Alfie flashing the ball wide having been found well. Alfie also playing the ball through to Fred who’s sweetly struck shot cannoned off the bar.
Further goals did come - Imad took two more. One direct from a corner swung in from the left and another from a cross shot near the by line.
Happily James also joined the hat trick club today with a shot spilled by the keeper and finished by James with the whole team celebrating it!
Beechfield did concede in the second half - having made a spectacular diving save in goal just before by Alfie, the resulting corner found a Moorside striker who volleyed in excellently.
Good way to sign off for Christmas!

Close call with James and Imad both vying for it though went to Imad - his introduction changed the game and was unplayable today.
