Beechfield Storm kicked off their cup campaign with a thrilling victory over Ordsall Vipers in a tense and evenly matched contest.
First Half
Ordsall started strongly, netting twice to take an early lead. Storm responded well, with Reni finishing skilfully after a great assist from Ollie to bring them back into the game. Reni then struck just before halftime to level the score, but Ordsall managed to grab another goal to go into the break with the lead.
Second Half
Determined to turn the game around, Storm came out firing in the second half. Ollie pulled them level once again with a well-taken goal before adding another to put Storm ahead for the first time.
Ordsall refused to back down and found an equaliser, but Louie stepped up with a crucial goal to seal a victory for Storm.
With nerves running high in the closing moments, Storm defended brilliantly to see out the win. A fantastic team performance in a thrilling cup game.
