Beechfield United U/15's Tornadoes finished their league campaign on Saturday 10th May 2025 with a 4-3 home win over Kingsway Athletic West.

*Logan McFeely got Beechy off to a great start with a hopeful lob from just outside the area. The TORNADOES went 2-0 up when Oscar Mather scored direct from a corner then shortly after Jayden Hoye received an excellent pass from Radwan Fakeeh and added goal number three. Unfortunately a lucky deflecton resulted in Kingsway Athletic reducing the arrears just before the break. Late in the second half the vistors scored their second goal when they were awarded a very soft penalty and Kingsway made it 3-3 with a late fortuitous eqialiser. With a score draw seemingly on the cards Tornadoes centre back Paulo Costa had a differtent idea when he headed home Beechy's winning goal from Oscar Mather's corner right at the end. Cue a whole team celebration as the Tornadoes wrapped up their league season with three well deserved points and a third place finish in in the Division 2 table.

*The Under 9's THUNDER had a local derby game with Moorside Rangers Yellow their last game before their cup final next weekend so a good performance was needed against their neighbours. Beechy dominated the first half of this Red Group game and their keeper and back three were rock solid as Thunder bossed the midfield. A good finish from Jude Bond gave Beechy a deserved lead and Thunder held their one goal advantage at half time. After making a few changes at the break Beechy who made a good start in the second half went two goals up when Man of the Match Jude Bond was on target again. Despite creating numerous chances Thunder didn't manage to kill the game off and Rangers reduced the arrears with fifteen minutes from the end and equalised five minutes later. The game ended with the teams sharing four goals.

*Playing their last league fixture prior to their cup final encounter with Flixton Juniors were Beechy Under 8's TORNADOES. At home in the Yellow Group the Tornadoes were rewarded with a great win against local rivals Moorside Rangers Blue. In the Salford and Districts Junior League there were goals galore in this exciting game of mini-soccer and on target for the Tornadoes were Brayden Gilligan, Arlo McFarlane and Billy Boyd.
