In the Salford and Districts Junior League Beechy Under 11's Storm produced an amazing comeback in their Red Group 9v9 home game with Parkwyddn Phoenix.

*If ever there was a game of two contrasting halves this was it. STORM started on the front foot and defended well in the early stages until Parkwyddn scored two quick goals. Creating a few good chances Beechy were wasteful with their finishing and were punished when Parkwyddn scored again. Continuing to look dangerous going forward Storm failed to unsettle the Parkwyddn defence and the visitors to Beech Farm Playing Fields added a fourth goal. Heads didn't drop and Storm were rewarded after some great work by Barkley Pope who delivered a pinpoint cross from the right wing and Jack Sinclair was on target as he reduced the arrears. Following an honest half time team conversation Beechy's players were totally confident that they could get back into the game. Quickly finding their attacking rhythm Storm pulled another goal back through more good work from Barkley and Denholm Brooks bent the ball into the bottom corner of the net. Now with the momentum Beechy continued to create chances and a third goal for Storm was 100% deserved. The ball broke inside the penalty area and from close range Barkley Pope hammered it into the net. Beechy's sustained pressure on Parkwyddn paid off as they equalised with the eighth goal of this amazing game when Man of the Match Barkley Pope casually beat an opponent before completing a standout performance with another powerful finish. Four goals down at one stage it certainly felt like a win for Storm.

*Celebrating their third successive victory in the Salford and Districts Junior League were Beechy Under 15's TORNADOES. Playing away at Winton Spartans a 2-0 win plus the three points moved the Tornadoes up to second place in the Division 2 table. Beechy's back to back clean sheet was complemented with a goal apiece for Oscar Mather and Archie Lock.

*In the Manchester Youth Super League Beechy Under 11's LIGHTNING (9v9) played the high flying Mountfield Rovers on the 3G Astro at Abraham Moss. After making a great start Lightning took an early lead when Junior Davies was quickest to react in the box and he tapped the ball into the net from five yards. Both teams created many chances following the goal but it was Rovers who were next on target when they equalised via a dubious penalty decision. After the break Rovers took the lead with a finish from inside the box but all was not lost for Beechy. Kayson Gregg decided to go on a weaving run out of defence but he was fouled on the edge of the Rovers area. Kayson took the resulting free kick and got Lightning back level curling the ball perfectly into the top corner of the net. This was a superb performance from the Beechy Boys and its's well done to Junior Davies who had a fantastic game and was named Man of the Match.

*Making it eight successive Division 1 victories were the in-form Under 12's TORNADOES (9v9) who hold a six point lead at the top of the table. Beechy who were involved in a hard battled game in the SDJFL with Winton Lions secured three vital points with a 2-1 win. On a cold and damp Saturday morning this was a good game of football between two good teams. The referee produced a fine display with not many issues and he got most of his decisions correct. Goalscorers for the Tornadoes were Max Blood and Lucio Riva.

*Despite an uneven playing surface the Under 10's Red Group game between Beechy STORM and Parkwyddn Predators was highly entertaining. Both teams produced some very good football and the referee who had excellent communication with the players on the pitch had a great game. There were no incidents during the game and this was due to the match official being in full control. Kade Doyle and Jacob Foster were on target for Storm who were worthy winners

*After a well observed minutes silence in respect of Armistice Day the Under 9's THUNDER eased their way to victory against Baguley Pumas. In this Red Group home game Beechy had the lion's share of the play in the first half and created some good chances. It was Player of the Match Chase Sixsmith who gave Thunder a comfortable two goal lead when he was the winner of two 1 on 1's with the Baguley keeper and on both occasions added a calm finish. Beechy made sure of victory in the second half when Harrison Spencer went on a run on the right flank and squared the ball across to Harry Wright who finished the move for Thunder's third goal. Baguley Pumas put some late pressure onto Beechy and the visitors got a goal back and they could have scored again if it wasn't for a couple of excellent saves from Thunder's goalkeeper Grayson Owen.

*The Under 8's TORNADOES were in action in the Salford and Districts Junior League when they travelled for their away game with Deans Youth Tigers. In the Yellow Group the Tornadoes starting line-up was Cormac (G) Brayden, Amir, Kayden, Bryce and substitutes were Oscar and Ronnie. Beechy were two goals down after about ten minutes but Bryce score to get the Tornadoes back into the game. A missed penalty didn't deter the Beechy Boys and after joining the action Oscar netted the equaliser. The Tornadoes took the lead when Brayden was on target and in the second half as Beechy continued to make substitutions Oscar got his second goal. Efforts from Brayden hit the woodwork several times before he found the back of the Deans net again. The Deans keeper made some very good saves and via the counter-attack the hosts scored their third goal. The Tornadoes well earned victory was guaranteed through Brayden who netted three more goals to take his match tally to five.

*Moorside Rangers U11's Green v Beechfield Utd Tornadoes

Not a good day at the office today as the heavy scoreline suggests. The first half was actually really even, if anything Beechy were slightly the better side, but the ball would not go in for us. One effort was tipped onto the bar, we hit the post and had a goal disallowed for offside. Moorside struck two goals on the break to lead at half time, very harsh on the Tornadoes.

At half time we encouraged the team to keep playing the way they had in the first half. Unfortunately Moorside scored a quick 3rd and our heads dropped after that. We didn't have a single shot in the 2nd half and the side capitulated. No Player of the Match today. Everyone can do better and will need to next week.
