There were goals galore in the games featuring Beechfield United's Mini-Soccer teams and both the U/9's Tornadoes and U/9's Storm tasted victory.
**BEECHFIELD UTD TORNADOES U9s v Stretford Victoria
Saturday 10th October 2026
Full-Time: 6–3
POTM: Eric and Theo
First Half.
Beechy made a brilliant start, putting Stretford Victoria under pressure from kick-off. Zane opened the scoring with an early strike to make it 1–0.
Marco forced a mistake and played Eric into space, with Eric’s shot forcing a corner. Beechy continued working hard in attack and defence, with Noah producing a strong performance at the back alongside Zane, making important clearances and helping keep Stretford at bay.
A great team move saw Franklin play out from a goal kick to Gianluca, who found Noah. Noah then played the ball into space for Theo to chase to make it 2–0. Theo added another goal as Beechy continued to threaten going forward.
Stretford pulled one back with a breakaway goal, but Beechy responded immediately through Rocco, who showed great determination to find the net. His confidence is growing, and it was fantastic to see him battling hard for the ball and getting involved in the action.
Franklin made several excellent saves to keep Beechy ahead, although Stretford managed another goal before the break. Beechy went into half-time leading 4–2.
Second Half.
Both teams continued to apply pressure, with Beechy creating plenty of chances and forcing several saves and corners. Theo showed great skill to beat his defender before unleashing a powerful shot that the keeper did well to save.
Gianluca continued to work tirelessly, linking play and getting into good positions. He was unlucky not to get a goal of his own, but his effort and consistency were clear to see throughout the game.
Stretford scored from a free-kick to make it 4–3, but Beechy responded brilliantly. Theo broke forward and played Eric through on goal, with Eric finishing well to make it 5–3.
Theo continued to impress, winning the ball back in midfield before driving forward and scoring another excellent goal to secure a 6–3 victory for Beechy.
Marco’s skills continue to develop every week, and it was great to see his confidence growing throughout the game. He also put in a fantastic stint in goal during the second half, staying alert, tracking the ball brilliantly and producing some amazing saves to help keep Beechy in control.
Match Summary
A fantastic attacking performance from Beechy, with Eric and Theo deservedly earning Player of the Match recognition. Noah had a particularly strong game, showing determination and composure in defence, while Rocco’s growing confidence and willingness to battle for the ball were great to see. Gianluca once again worked tirelessly for the team and was unlucky not to get on the scoresheet. With Marco continuing to develop his skills and making some brilliant saves in goal, there were plenty of individual positives to take from this 6–3 win.
A good result for the Storm this morning making it 3 wins, 2 draws and 1 loss in the top division Bolton & Bury league.
Storm started the game well with a lot of possession and attacking play down the left hand side, putting a lot of dangerous crosses into the box and unlucky not to get a few goals in the first quarter 0-0,
2nd quarter same again but this time the threat was coming down the right hand side with Reni unleashing a rocket to give Storm a well deserved lead 1-0,
3rd quarter Storm came out even stronger finally taking there chances 2 good runs and finishes from Ollie then another for Reni from a long range effort to make it 4-0. Scoreline finally reflecting the game for Storm.
The last quarter Ladybridge started to get into the game creating a few chances before finally scoring a penalty and a well worked goal to bring the game to 4-2.
On another day Storm win this game by more but overall good win for the lads in a new league and tougher challenges to come down the line.
On paper it says 11-3. In our eyes? We saw HEART, FIGHT and PROGRESSION! 💙

TO EVERY TORNADO WHO WORE THAT SHIRT TODAY 👏
Lightning’s second ever away game in tough conditions was against a strong and organised Predators outfit.
First half.
Lightning started bright and a turn and shot by Nathan went just wide.
Nashon then made an excellent run down the wing and fired past the post after good work by Hugh.
Predators made some strong attacks but were thwarted by Lucas in goal.
Nathan’s goal for Beechfield - excellent move. Started with a pass from Lucas in goal to Carter. Carter fired it down the line to Henry who passed inside to Nathan who powered it into the top corner.
A soft penalty decision was then given to the Predators who made it 1-1 from the spot.
Nashon made another decisive run down the wing but his finish was well saved by the predators goalkeeper.
Predators started to put pressure on the Beechfield goal but Isaac stood strong showing real strength and maturity at the back.
Predators scored just before half time with a finish on counter attack.
2-1 to Predators at half time
Predators started the second half with a shoot on site policy, which resulted in 2 quick goals - one which took a heavy deflection.
Beechfield continued to pass through the lines where they could and won a free kick after a clumsy foul on Henry.
Carter stepped up and powered the free kick into the top corner to make it 4-2.
Beechfield were on top when Henry made a great run through the defence but his shot was saved by the keeper.
Whenever the Predators attacked, Isaac & Rupert were showing brilliant defensive instincts to clear the danger.
Hugh then made a great run, found by a neat pass by Nathan but his shot whistled past the post.
Predators then scored again with a smart finish.
Lightning kept on going forward and won another free kick.
Hoping for a repeat of his earlier effort, this time Carter’s free-kick was well defended.

**MYSL PREMIER LEAGUE UNDER 9s
Soccer HQ Elite 14 v BEECHFIELD UTD THUNDER 3

Thunder made there debut in the MYSL against Soccer HQ, today was always going to be a big ask with a place in the Premier League available Thunder have taken the opportunity to play, against all odds though Thunder put a lot pressure on there opponents and started brightly moving the ball around at a pace they are not use to normally and started very positively, with some great passage of play at the back and out wide Thunder found the back of the net courtesy of Aldo Gannon getting thunders first ever goal in the MYSL, again Thunder put more pressure on but a slight hesitancy at the back Thunder conceded which galvanised Soccer HQ into action and put Thunder under a lot of pressure which they tried to soak up and wave after wave saw Thunder behind at half time 6-1 the second half the team still tried to pass the ball around and find space and ultimately scored two unanswered goals from Callum Davies and again Aldo Gannon with two great finishes against a strong opposition GK pulling the score back to 6-3, the pace in the second half had taken a lot of energy out of the boys but they did fight and still created a lot of chances and was unlucky not to score more goals. Performance wise was there but just a lack of making the right decisions under pressure credit to the boys they never gave up the fight and the next few weeks will be a massive learning curve but once we are put in the right league this side will compete and the new league will take time for the team to settle.
Player Of The Match went to Defender Parker Haworth who did a great job at the back finding the right passes and making the right decisions in defence.
Overall, the scoreline really didn't reflect how tight that game was. We created so many chances, and what pleased us most as coaches was how the boys handled the physicality. Parkwyddn have been together for two full seasons, and our lads didn't back down for a second, they stood their ground, worked for each other, and gave them a proper test!
**BEECHFIELD UTD LIGHTNING u13 - 3 Chaddy Park Vipers 5
Manchester Youth Soccer League
Another game, same old story !!
We stormed into a 3 nil lead in the first half, Austin Fillingham, Henry Dunn and Matteo La Rana with the goals. Everything was going so well !!
The second half starts and we just don't show the same intensity or drive.
Five unanswered goals later we find ourselves losing yet again.
It could be a fitness issue or it could be a mentality problem but we need to find ways of getting over the line !
We will keep trying and go again next week.
Chin up boys.
For the 2nd round running we were up against a side two divisions higher than us in the cup, despite this Tornadoes were full of confidence after 2 wins on the bounce. The conditions were horrendous, a constant gale force wind, rain, hail, the game had it all. However it wasn't just the weather that was ferrocious today as tempers flared throughout the game on the pitch and the touchline.
The long grass and the weather played a part in the early exchanges that were really scrappy, neither side managed many clear cut chances, Josh Green with our best effort but shot straight at the keeper. We forced a few corners to no avail, before Chorlton took the lead when clean through after we struggled to clear a long ball. Chortlon had the ball in the back of the net a 2nd time soon after but this was rightly disallowed for offside. Then the trouble started. Alex McGrory was sent flying after a vicious intentional elbow from the Chorlton player. The ref did nothing but things on the pitch started to get heated. We were asked to substitute a player shortly after due to foul language and there were scuffles throughout. Chorlton had a couple more chances but Ty Dobson saved well in the Beechy goal. We knew if we got to half time at 1-0 we'd have a chance 2nd half with the wind and slope in our favour but agonisingly we went 2 down with the last kick of the half, a similar goal to their first.
Sadly, the second half was one of the most vicious 30 minutes of junior football I have been involved with in almost 4 years of being a Beechy coach. The same player who got away with an intentional assault with his elbow in the first half did the same thing again on Alex, forcing him off with a head injury in tears and hell broke loose. Tensions boiled over on the touchline and on the pitch. A player from each side was sin binned for 15 minutes after one of many altercations and both teams were down to 8 men. This continued with pockets of fighting all over the pitch before the referee suspended the game for 10 minutes for both teams and benches to calm down. Despite the good intentions from the ref this had little effect as the fighting continued, Dawood Fakeeh was punched in the face causing another Chorlton player to be sin binned. How the game was not abandoned I'll never know. I was proud of our players for sticking up for each other on the battlefield today. Football wise we were the better team 2nd half against so called 'superior' opposition, whos players in all honesty belonged in a zoo. We were unfortunate not to get something from the game against this joke of an opposition today. The ref is reporting 4 Chorlton players and 2 Beechy players to the FA, possibly both sets of coaches as well, who knows! We may have lost the match but the fighting spirit shown by our lads against a bunch of animals today made me proud.
Player of the Match went to out heroic keeper Ty Dobson who was one of many who survived an assault and did some great saves throughout. Hopefully we have a calmer match next week if we're not all suspended! Go Beechy! 😆👕⚽️
