Storm made a great start in their Division 2 home game against Withington Hope when Joe Northall rounded the keeper to open the scoring. Withington made it 1-1 then Sam Everall restored Storm's lead with the goal of the game via a superb strike from 30 yards. The fast action was end to end and Withington found a second equaliser to make it 2-2 at half time. Early in the second half an effort by Alan Kay was kicked off the line before Withington took a 3-2 lead though Connor Gibbs with a good finish got Beechy back level. Connor was on target again hammering the ball beyond the keeper to put Storm 4-3 up but two late goals gave Withington the victory. Harrison Davies was Storm's Man of the Match.
