Caleb Hoyes made it 2-0 and it was Caleb who netted goal number three and playing some excellent football Storm went 4-0 up courtesy of Connor Gibbs. During another good move Adam Peacock timed his run and finished the attack blasting the ball into the net for the fifth goal. The goals continued to flow when Beechy were awarded a penalty and from the spot-kick Alan Kay scored goal number six. Storm made several changes at the break and this helped Boundary Park get a better foothold in the game and the hosts reduced the arrears. Beechy responded and with his second goal Joe Northall made it 7-1 then Max O'Brien joined the goalscorers list as he slotted the ball into the bottom corner of the net for Storm's eighth goal.
