As they struggled to get a foothold in the game some good defending by Storm limited Howfen to to efforts from outside the box. New signing Connor Gibbs was soon involved in the action with a shot directly into the keepers hands. Just before half time following another good move Howfen went 1-0 up and the hosts added a second goal after making a bright start in the second half. Storm's goalkeeper Andrew Woodward made a couple of good saves before Maurice Mundia via a close range finish netted what proved to be Beechy's consolation goal. With fifteen minutes to go Howfen led 3-1 and a quick fourth goal secured the hosts their victory. Chosen by the referee Storm's Man of the Match was Harrison Davies.
