Without dwelling too much on this game and its after effects, I can only say, what a rotten day it was!
In mitigation, the Diamonds, led by former Beechfield Lightning manager, Gareth, are a crack outfit. They undoubtedly should be in the top flight, but with a squad of 15 and every player highly skilled, it's no wonder we didn't get a look in.
On the flip side, despite a couple of short spells, we didn't exactly cover ourselves in glory. To be fair to some of the boys, some of them kept going and showed a good resilience. Some of them stood up to be counted. Others didn't do so well and maybe let the opposition get the better of them too easy. However, it's how we react to this setback is what's most important!
Never mind boys, heads up and let's look forward to the next game!
