Game number 3 of 5, in our Supplementary Cup group, saw us travelling to Salford Sports Village to meet the Maccabi Tigers.
Getting off to a tentative start, I was slightly concerned by our inability to convert good possession in to good scoring chances. And when we did create some chances, we struggled to capitalise on them.
Thankfully for us though, as the game wore on, we started to control the midfield. With that control came less chances for Maccabi and more opportunities for us.
As a result we notched 6 goals without reply, the clean sheet a particular cause for celebration, as it was our first of the season.
A total shutout is a great sign of a team performing as a team and was a well deserved reward especially for Jack, Dylan, George and Eddie. Our defensive unit have been exceptional this season and I'm pleased that they could get a clean sheet in a competitive match.
At the other end, were games are won, Stewart scored another hat trick, Josh a brace and Oscar a great opportunists effort.
Overall, a very accomplished and comfortable display with Finn picking up the MOTM award for his effort and determination.
