Saturday 20th November, Lancaster Road, League, KO 10.15am

In a game postponed from late September we finally got our chance to be re-acquainted with De La Salle Rangers.

Sometimes in football you've got to hold your hands up and admit that you came up against a better team. And this is one of those occasions!

Our opponents, who looked very much a year group below us, were too organised, too technically superior and ruthless when it came to taking their chances.

On another day, it might have been a different kind of game, a closer game, especially if we'd capitalised on our early chances. But it wasn't to be and as the game wore on you could see that we couldn't keep the ball and we started to lose the midfield battle.

Wayne and I tried to change things around but you could sense that the belief of our boys was starting to fade. I would say up to the mid way point in the second half it was still a genuine contest, but after that it was game over and unfortunately we conceded more goals than we should have.

Anyway, we must put it behind us and move on to the next game. We've had a good run of form lately, so it would be nice to try and get that back with a good display against Parkwyddn. There's no doubt that on our day we are a match for any team, sadly it wasn't our day on Saturday.

Final Score:
De la Salle Rangers 7 - 1 Tornadoes (Reece Smith)
MOTM: Jack Lee

Chins up lads,
Oscar
