Away game for the Thunder boys on another bright Saturday morning. Coming off 3 consecutive wins the lads were looking to make it a fourth. Unfortunately the lads got off to a bad start giving Urmston 2 early goals, José and Che had some good opportunities but nothing came off for them in the first 10 minutes. Both teams had some further opportunities to score and Bobby made a couple of fantastic stops to keep thunder in the game. Elliot not feeling 100 percent today had to part from the game early with Finley being called into action. Urmston did manage to steal a third goal before Che found the net for thunder with a lovely strike from range. Angelo, Declan and Finley all had some good passages of play but we're struggling with Urmstons crisp passing through the backline which led to their 4th before the halftime break. Ralph had some good chances to close the gap for thunder in the second half and was unlucky not to have found the net. Declan made some excellent interceptions in defence and started to find some direct passes into Ralph and Che who nearly netted his second forcing the Urmston keeper to make some good saves. Urmston ran away with it towards the end of the second half scoring a further 3 goals as they capitalised on the gaps left from thunder pressing to get the scoreline closer.
A disappointing result for the lads today we just didn't recover from the early goals conceded.
