Thunder recorded back to back wins with a great team performance against a Moorside team who didn't give up until the final whistle, in a dominating performance from the start the front three of Aldo Gannon Roman Ashworth and Ronnie Green caused havoc with their attacking runs and slick passing and finding space with the first goal of the match going to Aldo with a great finish into the bottom left corner, another dominating game in defence from Gideon James who went on his surging runs forward and claimed two back to back goals with, again two great finishes making the score in Beechys favour. George Lawson who in defence stopped any Moorside attacks with his defensive skills and Jesse Fletcher who was a constant nuisance all game, showed great touches and was unlucky not to get a goal today. Roman Ashworth got his first of the match, showing that never say die attitude and latching on to a great through ball from Ronnie to get Thunders fourth goal of the match, Ronnie Green got Thunders fifth with some great passing movement from the front three and slotted home with a cool finish showing how good he is at finishing. Roman then got his second of the match a big contribution in attack. Freddie Tipton, since arriving at the club showed how nothing fazes him all game with great control of the ball and finding space, eventually finding a nice touch to finish from a cross into the box with a goal, Aldo Gannon got his rewards with his second goal of the match with a low strike into the bottom left. Again the whole team showed today that working hard, chasing down winning balls all game reaps the benefits of an all round great team performance. Goalkeeper Raurie Brassington showed again some tremendous saves all match and his distribution from his own box to his teammates was very good when called upon. A tough pick for the coaches today for the trophy's but thoroughly deserved to Roman Ashworth 🏆
