- Junior Section Match Details 15th April 2017
Due to the Easter Bank Holidays just five games were played in the Junior Section.
The Under 12's Thunder (9v9) played their final Division 2 game of the season against neighbours Moorside Rangers Green. In a tightly fought affair goals were a rarity until the last five minutes when Sebastian Higson gave Beechy the lead but Rangers equalised a minute later. A draw was a fair result and voted Thunder's Man of the Match was Jacob Lacey.
Faced with a tough task in their home game with Moston Tigers Stripes were the Under 12's Tornadoes (9v9) Alan Kay bagged a hat-trick and Ronan Courtney netted Beechy's other goal in this Division 3 fixture. The match was played at Beech Farm and the Tornadoes suffered a heavy defeat.
Producing a high scoring display in the Supplementary Tournament were the Under 11's Storm (9v9) who played Moorside Rangers Red. Holding a three goal lead at the break Beechy added five more goals in the second half and secured an emphatic victory. On target were Man of the Match Harrison Davies, Tawab Ogunleye, Jake Manion, Elliott McLurg-Taylor and Kaiden McClean.
Beechy Under 10's Typhoon and Ladybridge Wanderers were involved in a great Supplementary Cup tie. After making a slow start Typhoon conceded an early goal but playing some superb soccer the Beechy boys fought back and Joseph Bothamley equalised following a corner. The match was end to end but neither side could find a winning goal. The game was decided via a penalty shoot-out in which the Typhoon's keeper Peter Ellis saved two spot-kicks and Ronan Mullen sealed victory for Beechy when he scored the winning penalty.
For their latest Supplementary Tournament B game the Under 8's Storm were at home to Winton Spitfires. It was the visitors who won the contest that included some good football from both teams. Consolation goals for the Storm came courtesy of Harry Jones and Fletcher Jackson and Beechy's Man of the Match was Oliver Dalton-Bunker.
