The sun was shining the kids were smiling and happy to be back on the pitch doing what they love to do best. In the Salford and Districts League both teams were without key players and in a great advertisement for Mini-Soccer Storm had five players in the first half then were down to four in the second half. In a new formation playing with two defenders is certainly an option when the team moves forward to 7v7 next season. Finn Lee, Ellis Jorgensen, Kasope Alo and Gino Fierro put in a strong team effort and Rian Cox who only played for one half did what he always does with the football. The goals were shared though Finn didn't get on the scoresheet but his first goal for the Storm will arrived very soon. This was a great all-round team performance by Storm who won the game and Manager Ian Lee praised all the boys for a fantastic effort.
Tornadoes Manager Ryan Pugh was also delighted with his team's performance and he witnessed a hat-trick for Daniel Badewa and two goals by Kai Barker. Given a real confidence boost was Tornadoes Man of the Match Archie Charles who has been a long term absentee and had doubts regarding making a return but he was reassured and had a terrific game. Ryan said after the match the teams produced lots of good football plus several top-quality goals and the game was played in totally the right spirit.
