- Stylish Predators Bring Home the Silverware
In the Tameside Football League Beechfield United Under 15’s Predators were celebrating after winning the Sunday Challenge Cup thanks to a 3-0 win over Hough End Griffins. The final was played at Butchers Ground the home of Droylsden FC and producing one of their best performances of the season Beechy successfully collected the winner’s trophy. Following a goalless first half United stepped up a gear and putting constant pressure on their opponents took the lead when a corner taken by Brandon Kent was met by Man of the Match Anjola Onasanya who scored via a powerful header. Enjoying a greater share of the ball the Predators took control of the final and went 2-0 up with a headed goal from Ethan Haynes and once again Brandon Kent was involved in the move. Henry Bonynge supplied the perfect through ball and Joseph Lydiate via a top-class finish netted the third goal. United never relaxed their grip on the contest and got revenge on Hough End Griffins who had beaten the Predators in a JFC Sports Division fixture seven days earlier.
