POSTED: April 27 2017 19:31:40 By Keith Long - Two Successive Away Defeats for Sat Senior Team

Following two games in four days Beechfield United Saturday Morning Senior Team suffered their second successive away defeat. On Tuesday 18th April Beechy were in action against North Manchester but after sharing a 1-1 score line at half time United couldn't convert further chances into more goals while North Manchester took one of their chances and secured a 2-1 victory. Keeper Dan Lee and defender Dave Harrison shared the Man of the Match Award and Tom Barnes scored United's consolation goal.

At the weekend United's opponents were Brushes Rangers Spartak and just like the previous game the half time score was 1-1 with Scott Foulds on target for Beechy. A similar pattern developed when play resumed and though Ben Donohue's wonder strike added a second goal for United it wasn't enough to guarantee United a victory. Brushes Rangers Spartak responded with two goals and collected all three points via a 3-2 win. Manager Graham Rothwell and Assistant Karl Stott were voted joint Man of the Match.
