*This was one of those matches that had you feeling a whole range of emotions from immense pride in performance, organisation and demonstration of ability to frustration that the HURRICANES are capable of reaching. The first half was a masterclass of organisation committment and total effort from the Hurricanes as the Beechy Boys harried their opponents, snuffed out any danger whilst creating several chances in a goalless first forty five minutes. The second half saw a drop in intensity but there was still a high level of production from the Hurricanes. It took an absolutely amazing goal to beat the Hurricanes defence when Bolton Lads Club took the lead. Beechy's confidence was rocked slightly and it took another amazing shot to beat the Hurricanes goalkeeper James Kavanagh when the hosts went 2-0 up. But Beechy found their mojo again and they reduced the arrears when Nahom Berhane won the ball in midfield before playing a beautiful through pass to Karo Ibodje who still had work to do. But Karo easily beat a Lads Club defender then dragged the ball to his weaker foot and buried it into the bottom corner of the net. Unfortunately the Hurricanes ran out of time while searching for another goal to force at least a draw. It seemed unfair to pick a single player out when the entire squad were outstanding but keeper James Kavanagh who was immense deserved to be Man of the Match.
