The Majority of games went ahead despite more rain and Beechy Under 12's Storm produced another outstanding winning performance in the Salford and Districts League.
**BEECHFIELD UNITED U/12's STORM v Swinton Wolves
Beechfield United Storm produced a breathtaking performance to sweep aside local rivals Swinton in an 8–0 thriller that showcased clinical finishing, superb link-up play, and moments of real brilliance.
The hosts started brightly, dominating possession and pushing Swinton back from the first whistle. Their early pressure paid off when Austin Pierce opened the scoring after excellent build-up play from Ismail Adetona, whose clever footwork and perfectly weighted pass left Pierce with a composed finish. Beechfield continued to control the half, but Swinton survived further scares, and the score remained 1–0 at the break.
Whatever was said at half-time worked—Beechfield came out flying.
Early in the second half, Joel Momoh split the defence with a stunning through ball, releasing Austin once again. Pierce made no mistake, firing home a fantastic finish to double the lead.
Moments later, the crowd witnessed a moment of pure magic: from a Beechfield corner, Barkley Pope launched himself acrobatically and executed a worldie of an overhead kick, sending teammates and spectators wild.
With momentum fully on their side, Beechfield turned up the heat. Ismail Adetona took centre stage, producing a devastating quick-fire hat-trick a mix of sharp movement, clinical finishing, and relentless pressing that left Swinton unable to cope.
Beechfield weren’t done yet. Another dangerous corner was only half-cleared, falling perfectly for Harvey, who smashed home a brilliant volley straight from the delivery. A stunning strike that summed up Beechfield’s dominance.
The scoring was rounded off when Barkley Pope coolly slotted home his second of the match, capping off a flowing move and sealing an unforgettable victory.
Full-time: Beechfield United 8–0 Swinton
A commanding, confident, and complete team performance—one that will be remembered for a long time. Beechfield were unstoppable from start to finish.

Beechfield in Total Control: Versatility and Goals Everywhere!
A strong performance from Beechfield today as the boys dominated from the opening whistle to the very last minute. We kicked off with Harry in goal, Jaiden and Samuel forming a rock-solid defensive wall, and Alvin and Kevin leading the attack.
Right from the start, our dynamic duo of the day — Kevin and Alvin — connected brilliantly. Kevin delivered two perfect assists, and Alvin finished both with calm, clinical quality to put Beechfield ahead early. After several attempts of his own, Kevin found the net twice to add to the tally.
William came onto the pitch showing superb defensive composure, shutting down every attempt from the opposition. Before the half concluded, Samuel took over, showcasing his strength and accuracy. Through ball recoveries and powerful strikes, he added three goals, giving Beechfield a commanding lead going into half time.
The second half brought a surprising — and entertaining — twist. The entire team switched positions to show off their versatility. Samuel put on the goalkeeper shirt, Harry and Alvin moved into defence, and William and Jaiden pushed into the attack.
Harry impressed as an outfield player, breaking up play and making clever attacking runs. Alvin, showing off his elite ball control, picked up a loose ball in defence, drove past multiple players, and completed his hat-trick with a fantastic goal.
As the minutes passed, the rotations continued. Samuel stepped out of goal to make room for Kevin, who eagerly took his turn between the posts. He didn’t stay there long — quickly returning to the attack and scoring another goal.
In the final moments, after Jaiden unfortunately picked up an injury, the team returned to their usual positions. This allowed Kevin to close the game in style, adding his fifth before the final whistle.
A dominant, creative, and thoroughly entertaining performance from Beechfield from start to finish.
MOM:Harry — He surprised everyone today when he came out of goal, showing concentration, great ball control, and a real desire to improve 👏👏👏
Parents’ Player:
Alvin — Today he returned to his usual brilliant form: dominating the ball, finding space, taking strong shots, and working selflessly with the team from start to finish 👏👏👏
Special mention and third trophy to Kevin, today he play wonderfully with 5 goals and 2 assists never stop, never pull back, was a machine all the time 👏👏

BEECHFIELD UNITED THUNDER 7 versus Flixton Raptors 5
A dominant pulsating game from Thunder who picked up the win, controlling the match from start to finish and taking the lead early doors courtesy of some slick passing from Thunder to set up Ronnie Green with a sublime finish in the top right hand corner. Straight from the restart the high press and also the pinpoint passing saw Thunder get their second goal of the match with Freddie Tipton being in the 6 yard box and slotting home with a neat finish. Thunder's third goal came again from controlled direct passing into the box with Aldo Gannon getting his first goal of the match. Thunder continued to put pressure on the away team and with some great interlinking passing saw Ronnie Green striking the ball with perfection to give the keeper no chance to save and scoring his second of the game. Goalkeeper and Player of the Match Raurie Brassington also showed today how valuable he is to the team with some really difficult saves and dominated his goals all match keeping Flixton at bay all way through the match. Parents Player of the match Gideon James, who's passing out from the back and composure all game saw his pressure on the Flixton defence with his strong running with the ball at his feet and his shot on the edge of the box smashing into the top right corner, Aldo Gannon finished off the goal scoring for Thunder again getting into space in the box and calmly slotting in front of goal. Most Improved Player Jesse Fletcher caused a lot of problems up front and his work rate and perseverance to win the ball and cover the pitch didn't go unnoticed and was very unlucky not to get a goal today. Aldo got his Hat-trick following up from a rebounding shot near the final whistle and Thunder taking the win with a great team performance.

**BEECHFIELD TORNADOES U8's v Parkwyddn Predators U8's
Saturday 29th November 2025
Score: 0–3
POTM: Rocco
First Half
In extremely tough conditions with heavy mud and long grass, the Tornadoes worked hard from the start.
Eric made a couple of solid saves, while Zane and Rocco dealt well with the early pressure, including a strong clearance from a corner. Eric then forced the keeper into a save with a well-hit effort, but Parkwyddn found the first goal. Sergio’s run won a corner and Eric kept pushing with a turn and shot before the half ended.
Second Half
Parkwyddn added a second soon after the restart, but the Tornadoes kept battling despite the worsening pitch.
Gianluca made great saves, Noah fought tirelessly for every ball and Theo drove forward confidently with good footwork. A long-range effort from Gianluca tested the keeper, and Eric worked openings with shots of his own.
Parkwyddn grabbed a third goal late on, with Theo finishing the game with a brave clearance off his feet in net.

Well done to all of the lads on another fantastic performance today! Pitch conditions were bad and just about playable.. it was very slippy but we have to get used to playing on different types of pitches.
That made for a closer game than we would have liked and we should have beaten them by more!
Fair play to the boys though who played some decent football, especially down the right hand side! We dug in deep and battled well which is what it’s all about. We didn’t panic today.
0-0 at half time… we should have been up but we didn’t test the keeper, then they missed a penalty! (think Harvey had it covered )…
Second half I knew there would be goals and I had a good feeling that Tom would score! I told him that. He was on fire today! Best I’ve seen him play for us!
He scored a brilliant goal to get us 1-0 up! 🔥
Then 1 defensive lapse and we got caught off a long ball and they were through on goal.. 1-1
Then up stepped Max with a brilliant chip on the edge of the area! Absolutely class finish!! 👏🏻 and that proved to be the winner!
I’m very proud of them all. I push them hard but that’s because I care and want the best for them! We will keep on pushing and working hard!
The other team couldn’t handle us when we played it on the deck and some of the link up play was a joy to watch!
So today’s players of the matches went to Thomas and Hudson, who are forming a fantastic partnership on the right hand side! Which is brilliant to see!
Well done all, enjoy your weekend and see you next week! Thanks for your continued support guys

**BEECHFIELD UNITED U/11's STORM v BLACKROD FC (9v9)
In the Bolton Bury and District League this was Beechy's home fixture but the game was played on Blackrod's pitch. Match Details supplied by Mark Chambers.
In very difficult weather and a heavy pitch, the boys showed real grit and refused to give up. You couldn’t fault their play, skill, passing or commitment and their attitude was outstanding throughout.
**Hi everyone
Sorry for the late message but I’ve been mad busy all day.
So today’s game wasn’t the best and it was a really struggle especially with no proper goalkeeper. The lads held themselves well till half time but found it hard after they scored a few goals in the second half. Only having one sub made it hard as well and that’s why we are looking for new players. We do have new players coming training on Tuesday so fingers crossed they can fit right in and help us out.
Redas was voted coaches Player of the Match as his work rate on and off the ball was amazing today and he never gave up.
Well done mate 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻
We are speaking to the league about moving down a league but it might not be until January due to fixtures but me and Ryan will do our best to help with this as we don’t want the lads not enjoying football. This is development football and scores don’t count for anything at this age but the lads playing well and enjoying the games is the most important thing. So if you can just bear with us over the next few weeks whilst we see this transition through and hopefully get some new players in and move down a league then we can start our rebuild and get this Beechy team back enjoying football.
We will get there. Enjoy your weekend guys and see you all at training on Tuesday 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻
**BEECHFIELD UNITED U12 TORNADOES 0-7 Swinton U12 Warriors
The match was very nearly postponed moments before kick off today after constant downpours and an earlier game made the Beech Farm pitch a bog. The referee and both managers agreed to start the game and see how things went.
We were dealt multiple blows before kick off with a couple of late dropouts meant we had to start with a bare 9 for the 2nd week running, and some of those 9 were themselves fighting illness. Keeper for the day Reuben McCormick also broke his glasses in the warm up and couldnt use them, so not a good start pre match!
It wasn't a good start on the pitch either as we conceded an early goal to trail 1-0. We then started to play really well and dominate and created a few decent chances and had many corners which threatened. Josh Green and Harry Myddelton were particularly dangerous on the left. Midway through the half Ryan Cordingley could not continue due to illness and we had to play the match with 8 players. Despite this we defended well. Josh Green then suffered an injury to his foot and had to come off for 10 minutes and we were down to 7 players. He bravely came back on just before half time and we were back up to 8. Somehow despite the numerical disadvantage we held out at 1-0 until just before half time when a Swinton shot crept in just over the line and they led 2-0 at half time.
We knew the 2nd half would be a struggle on the heavy pitch with 8 players, some of whom were clearly not 100% fit. We fought bravely, despite this Swinton scored 5 unanswered goals in the 2nd half as our players understandably tired. We should have had a penalty near the end when Dawood Fakeeh wriggled past 3 players and was brought down in the box, but no penalty was given, much to the bemusement of me and the Swinton coach who agreed it was a clear penalty. Final score 0-7.
Beechy Manager Frank McGrory said could not fault the players effort today in difficult circumstances they all continued battling and were caked head to toe in mud at the end. Player of the Match was undoubtedly Aidan Thompson who never gave up, won countless tackles at the back and played many fine through balls to our forwards to start our attacks. A tough day from start to finish today for the team, hopefully we have a full squad and a better pitch to play on next week!
