- Junior Section Match Details 30/11/2019
Due to a sudden change in the weather heavy overnight frost forced the postponement of all but three fixtures allocated to teams in Beechfield United's Junior Section.
Celebrating their best result of the season in the Salford and Districts League were Beechfield United Under 9's Storm who hit six goals without reply in their Red Group home game with Monton Sports. Two goals each for Ryden Coward and Roman Dandaji plus a goal apiece by Ethan Seddon and Callum Norris were just reward for a dominant Beechy performance. Storm were the better team throughout with Harry Wallis picking up the Man of the Match award.
Despite the low temperature the sun was out when the Under 8's Storm players lined-up for their home game against the newly created Salford Storm team. In the Yellow Group Beechy started on the front foot and catching their opponents off guard raced into an early lead. Oliver Cooper, Aiden Gradwell and Jacob Wood proving too hot to handle and scoring at will and Storm's team officials made frequent substitutions to keep every player warm. These changes didn't ruin the flow of the game and Robert Wagner and Patrick Doherty played some of the best football of the season while Thomas Brady found his goal scoring touch to ensure Beechy stretched away from their opponents. Storm's goalkeeper Sophie Price turned striker for the second half with Jacob Wood taking on the goalies role and Sophie managed to get on the end of a fantastic counter-attack involving Daniel Wharton and slot the ball home from close range. Salford Storm grabbed a consolation goal late in the game.
The Division 3 9v9 game between Beechy Under 12's Storm and neighbours Moorside rangers Green was a closely fought encounter that ended with Rangers securing a 3-2 victory. Goals for the Storm came via Andrew Ackernley and Michael Walsh who shared the Man of the Match award with James Cadwaladr.
