A spell of arctic weather took it's toll on the Junior Section fixtures scheduled for Saturday 1st December 2023 and only one game was played.

*Beechy U/8's THUNDER moved their Salford and Districts League Red Group home game with Irlam Juniors to Manor 7's Astroturf Pitch and it was agreed by both teams to play 7-a-side to keep all the kids involved in the cold conditions. The game was good preperation for Thunder's players regarding their move up next season but it was apparent from the start that plenty of work will be needed during the summer as new team positions were introduced. Beechy who didn't make the best start found themselves a goal down but once they adapted to the size of the pitch began to produce some good passages of play. Not long before half time Harrison Spencer was fouled just outside the area and taking the free kick himself slotted the ball home for Thunder's equalising goal. Early in the second half Beechy took the lead after Chase Sixsmith was on target with a low finish off the inside of the post. Unfortunately Thunder couldn't hold out for the win when Irlam Juniors equalised when following a shot on target the ball found the back off the net off the underside of the crossbar. The whole Beechy team were awarded Man of the Match for how they adjusted to the bigger format of the game.
