*For this Division 1 fixture standards were expected to be high and the Hurricanes were looking for revenge because Hough End won the previous encounter between the teams. Beechy made a great start in the game when Team Captain and Man of the Match Owen Hogben netted the opening goal. Hough End found an equalising goal and the scoreline remained 1-1 when the referee ended a hard fought first forty minutes. In the second half Beechy regained the lead when JJ Lowery delivered a pinpoint cross and Rafael Djacy added the finish with a powerful header. JJ Lowery was involved in the action again though this time he turned goalscorer when he put the Hurricanes 3-1 up. During a tense last period of the game Hough End narrowed the deficit with their second goal then the hosts made it 3-3. As the contest entered the closing stages Hough End led 4-3 and in an unexpected comeback the hosts secured the three points with a fifth goal. This was obviously a disappointing result for the Hurricanes who held the lead for so long but came away empty handed. Result Hough End 5 v Beechy Hurricanes 3.
