- Junior/Youth Match Details 6/12/2025
The continous heavy rain descimated a large percentage of the scheduled fixtures in the Junior/Youth Section and those games that were played went ahead on 3G/4G pitches.

Storm braved the Storms to earn a scrappy but solid victory for Beechy.
Vincent started in goal, Reggie & Josh at the back with Jacob, Nathan and Arman in midfield; Alfie up top. Really tight though storm looked the strongest with Nathan and Josh in particular showing the most composure in midfield. Early strikes from Arman having wriggled round the defence stung the palms of the goal keeper.
It was Arman who took the ball from a kick in sliding through Nathan who spun, placing the ball past the goal keeper to open scoring.
Following this there was a period of dominance from Ordsall where mistakes and misplaced passes were costing storm - shots rained going wide left & right though whenever on target Vincent was solid. Following an injury to captain Nathan Yusha came on to make his debut making important tackles and distributing well with Reggie at the back. One such pass from Yusha bounced in front of Alfie which needed a composed finish though just bounced too high for the target man to get his foot on.
In a scrappy game there was some good passing moves with Nathan, Jacob and Arman all showcasing some one touch passing skills with Arman unfortunately flashing wide.
Coming in at 1-0 Storm needed to assume control of the game; Jose joining the fray was the spark that was needed and looked lively with some menacing attacking runs - a shot from the right tipped over the bar. Despite this it was Ordsall from a corner almost scoring and their deflected shot tapping the post causing some concern on the touchline.
However; it was classmates Jose & Nathan who had rejoined the game that settled everyone’s nerves - Jose bursting to the right played a cut back to Nathan who shot from the edge of the box into the top right.
Changes rung with Alfie back in goal and Vincent up top causing a nuisance getting stuck in and buzzing around the attack. A couple of shots came in though Alfie was well composed as well as Reggie & Yusha at the back with Nathan & Jacob always on hand with extra defensive work being done.
Following a counter, Jose got his deserved goal with the ball coming out, in space he struck from distance lobbing the keeper.
While a lot of the report is about the attackers - Josh, Reggie and Yusha were fantastic, all 3 composed at the back, made important tackles / interceptions & fully deserved their clean sheet.
*MOTM*
Could have gone to Nathan for a solid captains performance or to any of the defenders though after a brilliant debut *Yusha* was solid at the back, important challenges and interceptions with accurate distribution.
*parents players*
*Jose* - a strong performance, brought energy in attack and played midfield, attacking midfield and striker, assist and a goal from distance

*Thanks to a change of venue BEECHFIELD UNITED Under 9's TORNADOES were in action in the Salford and Districts League. Beechy met Deans Tigers at Manor 5s Football Centre for this Yellow Group game and the Tornadoes produced a hearty display with some great patterns of play. The Beechy Boys were unlucky not to get at least a draw and they should be proud of their performance. The Tornadoes squad was Alfie, Jayden, Ezra, Oscar, (Captain) Ralph, Ellis,(MOM) Arlo, Leo and Cormac. On target with the goals were Leo and Cormac.

In a game that could have gone either way the opening exchanges of the match was high tempo, with both teams going for the win. Thunder are trying to break their losing streak against a Swinton side, Thunder yet again made the game difficult for Swinton throughout the match and were always creating chances upfront. Credit to the boys every week they turn up and make a go of things, Goalscorers for Thunder were Roman Ashworth, with so much perseverance to get the ball in the back of the net with a neat finish. Captain and Birthday Boy Parker Haworth got Beechys second with a low long range strike to beat the keeper and Aldo Gannon getting the final goal of the game just before the final whistle, again being in the right position to finish off in front of goal.
Player of the Match went to Goalkeeper Raurie Brassington who's development over the last three months in goal has been a joy to see and has turned into a really good shot stopper and Gideon James who yet again was so composed on the ball making great tackles and passing out from the back with strong runs into the box 👏🏆
