- Hurricanes Show The Kings The Way to Win
In the Salford and Districts League Beechy Under 15's Hurricanes secured a convincing 6-2 Division 1 home win over Kingsway Athletic.
*Making a good start the HURRICANES went close to an early goal when Rafael Djacy fired the ball just wide of the target. Beechy took the lead through Alfie Rostron who's powerful shot took a slight deflection before the ball found the bottom corner of the net. The visitors keeper saved a free kick taken by Alfie before the Hurricanes went 2-0 up when a corner taken by Joshua Whitehead was met by Jacob Revell who directed a header into the net. An exquisite ball over the top of the visitors defence from Beechy keeper Max Gill-Williams set-up Owen Hogben who expertly sent the ball over the keeper for 3-0. Kingsway got a goal back early in the second half following a corner but the Hurricanes responded and led 4-1 through Henry Errington thanks to Owen's pass that created a one-on-one with the keeper. Owen was involved again when he won Beechy a penalty and from the resulting spot-kick JJLowery sent the keeper the wrong way for the fifth goal. Kingsway were also awarded a penalty and their striker hammered the ball into the net for the visitors second goal. The Hurricanes were guaranteed the three points and a 6-2 victory whn JJLowery completed the scoring via an amazing finish. Beechy's Man of the Match was Luca Humphries.
