On Saturday 5th December the Aces were at home to Manchester Wanderers in the CFFL Shield and thanks to a high quality display in this 1st Round tie Beechy booked their place in the Quarter-Finals with a 4-0 victory after leading 1-0 at half time. Darren Everall (2) and Daniel Gadsby (2) fired in the goals and voted Man of the Match was Matty Styles.
Seven days later the Aces faced much tougher opposition when they met Barr Hill at Duchy Road Playing Fields. Making a rather sluggish start in this Division 2 away game Beechy found themselves 2-0 down inside the opening ten minutes. Gradually the Aces got a tighter grip on the game and pulled a goal back but Barr Hill added another goal to go 3-1 up at the break. Playing some great attacking soccer the Aces were on top throughout the second half and were rewarded with two goals to earn a 3-3 draw. Kyle Galbraith was voted Man of the Match and on target with the goals were Harry Halsey, Josh Main-Quinn and Matty Styles.
