Beechfield Thunder Under 7s versus Deans Youth (Salford and Districts Junior League)

In the last game before the Christmas break Thunder were very unlucky not to get the home win against an evenly matched side. Thunder went behind early but got straight back in the game with a goal by Captain Aldo Gannon, the game was end to end in the first half and the front three's link up play in the oppositions half was a joy to watch, with Ronnie Green creating lots of chances for his team all the way through the game. Player of the Match Zac Vaughan, who's unselfish work ethic didn't go unnoticed all game created Aldo Gannon's second goal of the game with the half time score in Deans favour. The second half performance was even better than the first half with great defensive work and strong running down the middle of the pitch from George Lawson and Gideon James, as both players had commanding performances at the back and not conceding any goals. Most improved player of the match Jesse Fletcher stopping every attack from Deans in the midfield and committing to every tackle, with Raurie Brassington in fine form saving every single chance Deans had in the second half. The last ten minutes of the game Zac Vaughan won a penalty for Thunder and slotted it away calmly with a great finish in the left hand corner, giving the keeper no chance to save. With the game opening up Thunder started to win more ball and Parents player of the match Aldo Gannon getting two identical goals to get the game to with one goal of Deans, unfortunately time was against us and with the final attack Thunder were unlucky not to get an equaliser. Both teams played really well and in the right spirit, was a great game to watch and parents and coaches of both teams really enjoyed this final game before Christmas.
