With the game rearranged on Astro Beechfield Storm looked to continue their winning streak though this came to an end against a competitive Stretford team
The match was evenly balanced with both teams trying to run the ball, with Stretford getting the better of it in the first half with multiple chances plus great saves from both Charlie and Alfie in their stints in net including a penalty save by the latter.
Coming in at half time 0-0 Beechy improved though due to an untracked runner and a tidy finish Beechy went a goal behind. Closely followed by a second in similar fashion in the final 10 minutes of the game.
Beechy composed themselves with James in particular showing great skills and running which eventually resulted in a break in the box giving James the chance to prod home a goal.
As Beechy pressed for an equaliser they were undone with a quick throw breaking for their striker who slotted past the keeper.
Disappointing game where the lads couldn’t get the ball moving and passing to each other with the better team on the day winning.
MOTM
Alfie - voted by the players, not a foot wrong, passed the ball well creating chances with long and short balls, strong defensively and led the back well. In goal made a number of saves as well as a saving a penalty.
