Eric Hanbury made his first steps to stardom when he joined Beechfield United's Holding Group and moving forward in 2010/2011 he played for Beechy Under 7's Storm in the City of Salford Soccer League.

At the end of the season Eric had the honour of being named in the Colin Roden Team of the Year but he had already been spotted by a United scout and after the one season with Beechy joined the Red Devils. Just recently Eric signed a 2 year contract with United so maybe one day in the future we might see him as part of the 1st Team squad. Eric's younger brother Jack also a Goalkeeper played for Beechy U7's/U8's/U9's 2014 to 2017. Everyone involved with BUFC wishes Eric a successful future.
