A game against new opponents today in Parkwydn Predators for the Thunder boys. The lads got off to a good start taking the game to Parkwydn with José and Che looking hungry for goals. Parkwydn were looking to stop the momentum of Thunder and began to find some passes through the Thunder defence which led to their first goal against the run of play. Ralph and Elliot began to motor down the flanks but the Parkwydn defence held up strong limiting the end product towards goal. José and Che began to find pockets of space but again Parkwydn managed there back line well to limit any chances on goal. Against the run of play, a Parkwydn cross fell into the near post and was squeezed in for there second goal. José finally got a clear cut chance on goal and he fired in a lovely shot into the roof of the net to get Thunder off a well deserved first goal. Parkwydn started to up the pressure and Elliot and Ralph were called on to stifle the attacks. Parkwydn managed to score a third just before half time after a lose pass fell to an attacker who finished well.

Into the second half Thunder began just like the first with some quick attacking play and José was unlucky not to add his second after cannoning his shot off the post from a tight angle. Angelo started to give Thunder some options through the middle making good runs and Gio made his presence known with some good interceptions at the back. Parkwydn managed to score a forth after a goal kick bounced over the Thunder players which left an easy finish. Thunder with time running out tried to find a chance to get back in the game but Parkwydn found there fifth with a spectacular free kick that found the top corner. An unfortunate result for the Thunder boys today who played really well in long stages of the game, the scoreline not reflecting on their overall performance.

Man of th match - José, scorer and constant threat upfront and unlucky not to have more goals on the score sheet today.
