For the second time in seven days league and cup fixtures involving Beechfield United Junior Section teams fell victim to another spell of wet weather and only five teams were in action on Saturday morning.

After a four week lay off Beechfield United Under 14's Tornadoes managed to play their away game with Lourdes FC Lions. In the Bolton Bury and District League Beechy dominated this Section E contest but unfortunately suffered a 3-2 defeat. The score was 1-1 at half time and throughout the game the Tornadoes created lots of chances and three efforts hit the crossbar. United's Man of the Match was Ellis Kenny and the goals came via Mathew Bennett and Billy Wadeson.

Salford and District Football League.

A couple of missed late easy chances just about summed up the Under 11's Typhoon (9v9) overall performance against Swinton Junior Cobras. Conditions were very poor for this Development Group Blue Division and this affected the Beechy players display. Charlie Harris was voted Best Player.

At the Trafford Soccer Dome Beechy Under 8's Tornadoes played Flixton Junior Foxes in the Development Group Red Division. In a gutsy all-round display Man of the Match Alfie Lacey, George Wadeson and Stewart Kay scored goals for the Tornadoes.

There was lots of excitement at Beech Farm Playing Fields in the Under 8's Development Group Yellow Division where Beechy Lightning won a fifteen goal thriller with Swinton Junior Sharks. Man of the Match Oliver Eckersley and Deenraj Singh were on target with a hat trick apiece plus there were goals for Brodie Mundy and Charlie Swift. Defender Kyle Tandy produced an outstanding display.

The Development Group Red Division fixture between Beechy Under 7's Storm and neighbours Moorside Rangers Red also included a glut of goals, thirteen in total. After making a slow start to the game the Beechy boys found their form and played some great football. Goal scorers for the Storm were Man of the Match Harry Wallis, Callum Norris, Ryden McHale and Connor O'Sullivan who netted a hat trick that brought his total number of goals in the last four games to eight.
