Thunder Progressed to the next round of the Supplementary Cup with a convincing win against a competitive Urmston side. Starting brightly Thunder got straight into goal scoring action with, yet again Ronnie Green scoring with a great finish in the bottom corner after an excellent passage of play from Roman Ashworth to open the scoring. Beechfield's dominance in the game was showing straight away and again the front three were starting to string more passes and crosses into the oppositions half but on the counter Urmston equalised. Straight from the kick off Roman Ashworths driving runs and crosses set up Ronnie Green for his second goal of the match, powerhouse Gideon James controlled the defence all match and his presence gave space to his teammates and also quick one-twos from Aldo Gannon saw Gideon get his sides third goal. Yet again for the third consecutive game Jesse Fletcher started his contributions in attack laying off some great passes for his team and controlling the centre of the pitch and growing in confidence every game, setting up Aldo Gannon's goal with a great low strike in the right hand corner. Gideon got his second of the game with a powerful strike just outside the box. Urmston started to create more chances but yet again Goalkeeper Raurie Brassington stopped any chances with some great saves, Ronnie Green got the sixth and seventh goal for Thunder with some great play from Aldo Gannon and Roman Ashworth and Jesse Fletcher all contributing to some fine finishing from Ronnie in front of goal, a great team performance .
