Beechfield United Under 17's booked their place in the semi-final of the Youth Bundesliga Cup following a 3-1 away win over Altrincham Junior Tigers. In the Timperley and District League United couldn't have made a worst possible start to this quarter-final tie when they went 1-0 down after twenty seconds. Producing a positive response Beechy found an equaliser in the 10th minute through Callum Frier and just before the break stand-in striker Tom Haslem put United 2-1 up. Ryan Curran netted the third goal early in the second half while keeper and Man of the Match Joe Parker made a vital contribution that guaranteed the victory courtesy of two magnificent saves.
For the second time in fourteen days the Under 16's Tornadoes met Hindley Junior Marauders and achieved a quick winning double. In the previous Bolton Bury and District League Section C fixture United hit double figures against their bottom of the table opponents but on this occasion were happy with a 3-1 victory. All other games in the division were postponed so the Tornadoes took full advantage and thanks to the three points went four clear over second place team Deerfold United who have two games in hand. Goals for the Tornadoes came via Joe Furlong (2) and Lucas Morgan.
Also in action in the Bolton Bury and District League were the Under 13's Storm who were at home to Bridge JFC Hawks. In this rearranged Section A game Beechy were 2-0 down at half time but producing an excellent second half fightback at one stage led 3-2 but Bridge Hawks robbed Beechy of a deserved win with equaliser against the run of play. Man of the Match was Jack Thompson and goals for the Storm came via Dominic Green, Harry Gartley and Bobby Anderson.
Following their home game with De La Salle Devils the Under 12's Storm (9v9) took over as leaders of the Division 1 table. In Division 2 the Under 12's Thunder (9v9) were also at home and their opponents were Barr Hill Hearts and despite conceding an early goal Beechy put on a promising display. Barr Hill managed to keep their one goal lead for most of the game but United had a great chance to equalise via an indirect free kick in the area but were unable to take advantage. The visitors scored two more goals in the last ten minutes but the score line did not reflect what a close game it was. The Man of the Match Award went to Taonga Mututa who was outstanding at centre back.
Away to Winton Wanderers the Under 12's Tornadoes suffered a heavy defeat. After this Division 3 match Taylor O'Brien was voted Man of the Match while Harrison Birkett (2) and Max Chidgey netted goals for the Tornadoes who lost the game 9-3.
Both Under 11's teams lost their relevant Development Group games in the Salford and District League. Still searching for their first win of 2017 are Beechy Under 10's Lightning who's latest Development Group Green fixture was against Winton JFC Yellows. William Anderton had a very good game and was voted Best Player while Charlie Harris fired home United's only goal.
At home to Barr Hill Cubs the Under 10's Typhoon started well creating chances but they couldn't put the ball in the net. Unfortunately Beechy were hit by a couple of sucker punches and heads went down as United's opponents took control. But full credit to the Beechy boys they managed to regain their composure and were rewarded with a goal from Cole Winstanley. Soon after Milonga Mututa capped a magnificent Man of the Match display with a brilliant second goal for the Typhoon.
Some brilliant football was played by both teams in the Friendly Match between Beechy Under 10's Storm and Salford United. Caden Gibson gave the Storm a two goal lead but Salford United hit back with three goals. Beechy replied with three more goals through a stunning goal by Sonny O'Brien plus one each from Harry Backhouse and Josh McLoughlin. A late goal by Salford United set up a grandstand finish but Beechy hung on to celebrate the victory.
Both United's Under 9's teams had home games on Saturday morning at Beech Farm. In their Development Group Yellow fixture with neighbours Moorside Rangers Purple the Under 9's Storm trailed by two goals. Saul Tagoe reduced the arrears but Beechy were unable to find an equaliser. Joshua Kilfoyle was the Storm's Best Player.
Beechy Under 9's Tornadoes were in action against De La Salle Reds in the Development Group Red Division. The first half was a closely fought game with De La Salle taking the lead but Beechy got an equaliser when Finley Fairhurst scored his fourth goal in two games. Following some indecisive play by the Tornadoes the visitors regained the lead before half time. The second half produced a similar pattern and with too many players off the pace of the game Beechy gifted De La Salle an easy victory. Aiden Lawton collected the Man of the Match Award for his hard work and determination throughout the match.

The Under 8's Storm who are in a rich vein of form in the Salford and District League produced a high scoring display against Barr Hill Diamonds in the Development Group Blue Division. On target with the goals were Man of the Match Fletcher Jackson, Harry Jones and Henry Jones.
Against Swinton Junior Lions the Under 7's Storm made a great start to the game when they took the lead via a superb free kick by Noah Thorndyke but following a lapse of concentration just before half time Beechy conceded a couple of goals. United started the second half much better and equalised when Noah Thorndyke was on target again. The Storm put pressure on their opponents high up the pitch and regained the lead courtesy of a precise finish from Harry Whitter. From that moment Beechy controlled the game and Logan Holland sealed the win with a fantastic solo goal. Sharing the Man of the Match Award were Noah Thorndyke and Logan Holland.
