Due to the abysmal weather just two games were played in the Junior Section. Thirteen games were postponed and five teams had no fixture.

Away to Abraham Moss Blue in the Challenge Tournament Beechfield United Under 10's Lightning saw their cup run come to an end despite an impressive overall performance in this quarter-final tie. The teams were equally matched for most of the game but a couple of unstoppable goals helped Abraham Moss on their way to winning the match. Lightning defender Charlie Swift produced a brilliant display and goals for Beechy came via Man of the Match Jeano Baker who netted a hat trick and Brodie Mundy.

On Sunday Beechy Under 11's Lightning (9v9) were involved in the Supplementary Competition when they met Manchester Maccabi Wolves on the Astroturf Pitch at Salford Sports Village. Playing against a gale force wind in the first half Beechy went a goal down following a very dubious penalty decision and as they attempted to keep the ball on the ground a well organised Maccabi side made it difficult for Lightning to find an equalising goal. With the wind behind them in the second half Beechy dominated the tie as they created some great attacking football and with ten minutes to go the teams shared eight goals but Maccabi twice hit United on the break and were able to secure the victory. On target for Lightning were Sean Cosgrove, Scott Howarth and Matt Cox who shared the Man of the Match award with Eesa Afzal. Deserving a special mention is Theo Howard who volunteered to take on the goalkeepers role at the very last minute.
