More adverse weather had a major impact on the Junior Section fixtures scheduled for 19th/20th February. Only three games went ahead all played on Saturday morning.

*Beechfield United Under 7's Storm switched their cup game with Swinton Warriors to the Astroturf Pitch at Salford Sports Village. Beechy made a slow start to the tie understandable given the shocking weather and at one point midway through the first half Swinton Warriors held a two goal lead. But Beechy fought back and after leading at half time were the better team in the second half and were able to secure a comfortable victory. On target for Storm were Alfie Heighway, Oscar Pugh and Man of the Match Harry Heathcote who changed the game when he came off the substitutes bench. Beechy Manager Ryan Pugh was proud of his teams performance and this win guaranteed Storm remained unbeaten so far this year.

*Also in action on an Astroturf Pitch were the Under 10's Storm who had an away game with Moorside Rangers Reds. This was another very good performance from the ever improving Storm who dominated the first half against their local rivals. Beechy defended superbly through Daniel Wharton, Brody Burns and Thomas Brady while up front a number of fairly easy chances were missed. At the start of the second half Beechy finally found their goalscoring touch after Man of the Match Oliver Cooper stole the ball from the Rangers defence to finish from close range.

Then Oliver turned provider for Beechy's second goal when he crossed the ball for Aiden Gradwell to tap home following good work by Robert Wagner and Kristian Georgiev. Rangers got a goal back after a couple of fortuitous ricochets fell their way and the hosts equalised following a cross from the left wing though the ball appeared to have curled out of play. An hesitant referee awarded the goal and a deflated Storm outfit feeling the effects of the dubious decision and the weather conceded two late goals despite the heroics of goalkeeper Jacob Wood.

*The Under 11's Storm (9v9) lost their away game at Salford United Junior Devils after producing a decent first half display.
