Following a series of postponed games Beechfield United Under 15's Tornadoes were glad to be in action again in the Bolton Bury and District League. Keen to get back to winning ways the Tornadoes were away to high flying outfit Shevington FC for this Section B fixture. Beechy came close to a goal on a number of occasions with one effort hitting the crossbar but United went a goal down when Shevington took the lead from the penalty spot. A spirited period of play from the Tornadoes nearly produced a deserved equaliser but two more goals from Shevington secured the hosts the points via a 3-0 victory.

The Under 14's Tornadoes who had no league game arranged a friendly match with Hindsford Jaguars and due to an injury Beechy had ten players for most of the game. Losing 2-0 at half time the Tornadoes produced a brilliant fightback and goals from Charlie Wallwork (2) and Billy Wadeson earned Beechy a deserved 3-3 draw. The whole team shared the Man of the Match award.

Also involved in a friendly match were the Under 13's Tornadoes who played Moston Tigers Stripes away. Beechy won 6-3 and *Alan Kay* scored all six goals, the second time the Tornadoes youngster has achieved this amazing feat in successive games. Eat your heart out Messi and Ronaldo.

Away to Swinton Junior Tigers the Under 12's Tornadoes (9v9) delivered a below-par performance until the last ten minutes of this Division 2 match. During that period Beechy produced some great soccer but just couldn't convert numerous chances into winning goals. Swinton Tigers won the match by the odd goal in five and on target for the Tornadoes were Harley Kirk and Bradley Oliver. Best Player was Adam Wood.

Securing an emphatic victory in the Development Group Yellow Division were the Under 11's Lightning (9v9) At home to Winton JFC Blue Beechy controlled the game throughout and scored goals courtesy of Man of the Match Kyle Stafford, David Olidoy, Robert Harris and Zane Davies.

Thanks to a highly polished all-round display the Under 11's Storm (9v9) were winners of their Challenge Tournament encounter against De La Salle Rangers. Freddie Jackson, Josh McLoughlin and Reilly Happy netted the goals while getting the vote for the Man of the Match award was Reece James. Also producing great performances were Harry Backhouse and Reilly Happy.

Despite the cold weather conditions and a bumpy pitch the Under 10's Tornadoes versus Barr Hill Hearts contest turned out to be a very good game of mini-soccer. Barr Hill took the lead in the first minute but Beechy quickly bounced back and thanks to two goals apiece from Finley Fairhurst and Edward Hughes United were well on top at the break. In the second half stand-in keeper Sam Rowbottom made some fine saves as Barr hill put pressure on the Tornadoes. With no substitutes available the Beechy boys began to tire on a now heavy pitch and Barr Hill scored two more goals but the Tornadoes stayed strong and held on for a moral boosting win. Man of the Match went to Owen Hogben.

Beechy Under 10's Storm met local rivals Moorside Rangers Yellow at Beech Farm Playing Fields and though the Storm lost the match the score line failed to reflect all the hard work produced and good football they played throughout the game. Beechy only had seven players and no recognised keeper but they were rewarded with a consolation goal scored by Oliver Cowley.

The Under 10's Hurricanes were the only Junior Section team who played on Sunday morning. Manchester Maccabi Broughton who won the game were Beechy's opponents at Beech Farm. The Best Player award went to Michael Munden and on target with a consolation goal for the Hurricanes was Lloyd Hiles.

Oliver Dalton-Bunker was named Man of the Match following the Under 9's Hurricanes and Salford United Vipers fixture. Both teams lacked the goal scoring touch in the Development Group Yellow Division and the result was a rare goalless draw.

Producing a great first half performance at home to Swinton Junior Jaguars were the Under 9's Tornadoes but this Development Group Blue Division match included no goals in the first twenty five minutes. Swinton Jaguars took the lead straight after the restart but the Tornadoes equalised through Charlie Backhouse. Beechy created more good football without any reward and in the last ten minutes Swinton Jaguars added two more goals to win the game. The Tornadoes Star Player was Matty Cox.

Extending their unbeaten run to four games were the Under 8's Lightning who's opponents at Beech Farm were Stretford Victoria Albion. In the Development Group Yellow Division the teams shared ten goals. Man of the Match Oliver Eckersley scored a superb hat-trick while Broadie Mundy and Deenraj Singh were on target with the other goals.

Also playing at Beech Farm were the Under 8's Storm who were credited with a superb performance against Urmston Town Storm in the Development Group Blue Division. Hard tackling from both teams resulted in free kicks being awarded all over the pitch but the Storm were winners in the end thanks to some brilliant football and top class passing. The goals came via Man of the Match Ronnie Pinckney-Thompson, Shay Winstanley, Logan Holland, Frankie Carter and Harry Whitter.

Two goals by Stewart Kay earned the Under 8's Tornadoes a score draw following their friendly match with Winton JFC Devils. Logan McFeely was named Man of the Match.
