On Sunday 10th January 2021 former Beechfield United Junior Alex Doyle made a 66th minute substitute appearance for Marine FC in the FA Cup against Tottenham Hotspur.

Marine were at home for the 3rd Round tie with Spurs and the Northern Premier League Division One North West outfit knew they faced a tough ninety minutes. Despite a gutsy and hardworking all-round display unfortunately Alex and his teammates were unable to pull off a cup giant-killing act.
