The snow had cleared just in time for Beechfield United Under 16's Tornadoes home game with Bury All Stars Pluto to go ahead and thanks to a 2-1 victory Beechy made it six successive Section C games unbeaten plus they took a four point lead over second placed team Deerfold United. Troy Walker and Mason White were on target for the Tornadoes who were 2-0 up at half time while the visitors replied with their only goal midway in the second half. Next Saturday 21st January Beechy are away to Deerfold United and a win would strengthen their claim to become Bolton Bury and District League Champions.

Beechy Under 12's Thunder (9v9) kicked-off 2017 with a Friendly Match against Barr Hill Hearts at Eccles College. In a highly entertaining contest Thunder played some nice attacking football but lost the game 5-3. The Man of the Match honour was awarded to Sebastian Higson and the goals came courtesy of Prince Idusuyi (2) and Jake Glass.

Involved in a thirteen goal thriller in the Bolton Bury and District League were the Under 10's Hurricanes who were at home to Farnworth Hurricanes. In this Dragons Division fixture at one stage Beechy held a three goal lead and at the final whistle fully deserved their narrow victory. Goals for United came via Man of the Match Ole Kerwin (hat-trick) Dominic Roaden, Tom Worthington and Oliver Coles.

Producing a spirited display were the Under 10's Storm who took a two goal lead against local rivals Moorside Rangers Yellow. In a great game of mini-soccer Rangers fought back well and equalised in the last minute. A fair result overall as both teams played some exhilarating football. Goalscorers for the Storm were Caden Gibson and Sonny O'Brien who also shared the Man of the Match Award.

The Under 8's Tornadoes played a 7v7 Friendly Match with Urmston Town but following a couple of mistakes Beechy suffered a defeat. Otherwise it was a great all-round performance against a team who play in a higher division in the Salford and District League. The Tornadoes Star Player Ethan Harris and Harvey Riva scored the goals.
