In the Timperley and District League Beechfield United Under 16's Predators kept themselves in the Division 1 title race following a 4-3 home win over AFC Urmston Meadowside Red Star. Despite having a squad of eighteen players only twelve were available but the Beechy lads produced a first-class display and celebrated victory thanks to a last minute winning goal. On a heavy pitch the teams created a hard fought contest and shared a 2-2 score line at half time. AFC Urmston Meadowside took a 3-2 lead then after their equaliser Beechy were awarded a penalty but the spot-kick was missed. Following a battling performance in the latter stages the Predators late match winning goal was fully deserved. Man of the Match Liam Egerton (2) and Nauris Kaluga (2) got the goals.
The Under 16's Tornadoes were involved in a top of the table clash with Deerfold United and lost this away game 3-0. This was United's first defeat in seven games in the Bolton Bury and District League and according to Manager Chris Cottrill the Tornadoes were beaten by the better team and Deerfold cut Beechy's lead at the top of Section C to just one point. The Tornadoes keeper Ethan Gamon saved one of two penalties awarded to Deerfold.
Playing their first game of 2017 were the Under 15's Storm who's opponents were De La Salle Reds. Despite a decent display Beechy were beaten 3-1 with the Storm's consolation goal in this Salford and District Division 1 fixture coming from Callum Lomax. United's Man of the Match was Aaron Gartley.
Looking to end a six match losing sequence were Beechy Under 13's Storm who travelled to play Adlington JFC Hawks in a bottom of the table encounter. Unfortunately the Storm players went home empty handed after they lost this Section A game 2-1. United's Star Player was Harry Gartley and on target with the Storm's only goal was George Moorhouse.
At Eccles College Beechy Under 12's Thunder and Under 12's Tornadoes met in a 9v9 Friendly Match. On an artificial surface it was the Thunder who came out on top courtesy of a 5-3 victory. Reiss Miller (2) Sebastian Higson, Louie Percival and Jake Glass scored the goals for the Thunder who's Man of the Match was Dominic Lawton. The Tornadoes who gave their Star Player Award to Tom Williams replied with goals from Max Chidgey, Alan Kay and Joe Hope.
Beechy Under 10's Hurricanes entered a Tournament organised by PowerLeague Bolton and won the event following a penalty shoot-out against Moorside Rangers Yellow. The Hurricanes players involved were Harley Mullen, James Taylor, Tom Worthington, Reilly Happy, Georgi Georgiev, Josh Clough, Oliver Coles, Ole Kerwin and Dominic Roaden.

On Sunday morning the Under 7's Tornadoes entertained Salford FC United Devils. Played in a great spirit this Friendly fixture included some very good football from both teams. Goalscorer for the Tornadoes was Alfie Lacey who also collected the Man of the Match honour.
