Professional performance from Beechfield who didn’t play their best football consistently but held a competitive Winton at bay. Alfie started in net with Fred, Reggie at the back and Imad, Henry on the wings.
Storm on it from the first seconds, clocking their fastest ever goal straight from kick off, Henry to Fred, Fred pinging the ball down the wing to Imad who fired the ball home in record time.
Following this the game started to get bogged down on the browning road pitch, both teams skirmishing each others goal. Alfie was called on to make a couple of solid saves who looked on it with Fred, Imad and Henry all testing the Winton goal keeper.
The breakthrough did come with now Freddie moving into midfield and George taking to the field releasing both Fred & Reggie to get forward more.
Following a battle in midfield Imad picked the ball up on the right, dancing round a couple of their players before lacing it into the bottom right.
Shortly after Beechy really started to play, Freddie with a one two with Imad who took the ball into the box sliding it past for his hat-trick.
Subs rung in and it was now Fred and Henry with the combinations. Fred’s shot came agonisingly close to finding the bottom corner and Fred again, the creator, played the ball through to Reggie who’s distance shot was fantastically saved by the goal keeper.
The second half continued in a similar vein with Beechy taking control. Henry playing through Imad who blazed over with some good defending by Winton. Henry now drifting over to the left found Reggie unmarked who flashed the ball wide.
Winton looked to punish Beechy and Vincent in goal produced an unreal double save first from distance and then from close range to keep a clean sheet - well cleared by George up the field.
From the resulting break Beechy turned it on. Ball coming back to Reggie who, a couple of games ago produced an eye catching assist reproduced another. Battling in midfield he was able to get it out to Imad on the left who took the ball on the turn, paced the defender and placed the ball into the bottom left.
Imad, now oozing confidence lead the press winning the ball high up the field and powered the ball into the bottom corner with venom.
Since the double save the Beechy's defence were exceptional - Alfie, George, Reggie and Henry putting in some strong defensive work shutting up any attack that Winton tried to fashion.
There was chances to extend on Beechy's side - Imad taking it from distance and hitting the post for what would’ve been a spectacular finish as well as a cross shot finding Alfie who’s volley wasn’t connected with cleanly and saved by the goalie. At the very end, George took it from distance striking so cleanly but going agonisingly wide when it looked destined for the net.
Next week Storm play Winton again in the quarters where we are expecting a stern test on 3G!

Shout outs from the team came for Fred for his combination work, to Alfie for his non stop effort who picked up some great positions and produced a solid goal keeping effort for his quarter & Vincent for his fantastic goal keeping completing a dual clean sheet.
However, while a lot of the players had left their shooting boots at home *Imad* had definitely brought his! Five goals & a five star performance.
