Following a terrific second half performance Beechfield United Under 13's Storm were celebrating after winning the Supplementary Cup B trophy. Storm's opponents in the final were local rivals Moorside Rangers who at one stage held a 2-0 lead but Beechy produced a brilliant fightback that earned them a thrilling 3-2 victory. Man of the Match Samuel Oludoyi (2) and Ben Garlick scored the goals.
In their Supplementary Cup final the Under 13's Thunder made a bright start against Barr Hill Aces and took the lead within the first ten minutes. A goal by Callum Snaith put Beechy ahead but Thunder couldn't build on their lead and Barr Hill soon replied with an equalising goal. Suddenly Beechy faced an uphill struggle and found themselves 6-1 down at half time so it was going to be difficult for Thunder to find a way back. But in the second half the Beechy boys continued to display total commitment and were rewarded with a second goal via Prince Idusuyi who ended the season as the teams leading marksman with a superbly impressive fifty goals.
The Under 16's Storm met Urmston Town Ravens in the final of the Challenge Cup and after twice taking the lead in an evenly balanced contest Beechy suffered a 3-2 defeat. The Storm were 2-1 up in the second half when Urmston Town were awarded a dubious penalty that resulted in an equalising goal and United's opponents grabbed their match winning goal late in the game. Goal scorers for Beechy were Tom Gorton and Man of the Match Kaydn Craven. Squad for the final was: Jack Bailey (Goalkeeper) Nathan Green, Fabian Yanney, Daniel Delaney, William Bluer, Joe Cox, Aaron Gartley (Captain) Kaydn Craven, Tom Hobson, Malachy Woods, Mike Waklatsi, Josh Hayes, Essam Faltas, Tom Gorton, Callum Lomax.
