- Tornadoes Impressive At Swinton Tournament
Beechfield United Under 9's Tornadoes (2018/2019) had a decent day at the Swinton FC Tournament. The team played five games in their group finishing with four draws and one victory. Beechy kept five clean sheets and the seven points gained were enough to secure the Tornadoes second place in the group and a quarter-final tie against Parkwyddn Predators. The match ended 1-1 with Stewart Kay on target for Beechy but following a penalty kick decider the Tornadoes lost the shoot out 3-2. According to Manager Oscar Courtney and Assistant Richard James the Tornadoes were absolutely magnificent throughout the event and the whole team shared the Man of the Tournament trophy. Tornadoes squad was: Oliver Wood (Goalkeeper) Dylan Courtney, Alfie Lacey, Daire Cox, George Wadeson, Stewart Kay, Flinn Rogers, and Logan McFeely.
