Matthew Paul Daly better know as Matty Daly played for Beechfield United Under 7's (2007/2008) and Under 8's (2008/2009) and was previous at Everton as a youngster before signing for Huddersfield Town in September 2015.

When he made his first team debut for the Terriers Matty who is an attacking midfield player was a first-half substitute for Jonathan Hogg in their 2-1 defeat to Watford in the English Premier League on 20th April 2019. Matty also became the 5th youngest player to make his premier league debut of the season at 18 years 1 month and 10 days old.

Matty has represented England at international youth levels, including Under 17's, where he received 10 caps including his participation at the 2018 UEFA Under 17's Championship, which included scoring the winning goal in the 2-1 win over Israel Under 17's. England would eventually suffered a semi-final defeat to the Netherlands following a penalty shoot-out, though Matty did score England's second spot-kick. In May 2019 Matty was part of the England Under 18's squad that competed in the Slovakia Cup.
