A cup game against a well known Old Trafford side for the Thunder boys who knew they'd be in a tough task. The boys started the game well and we're unfortunate to concede the first goal from a cross come shot that bounced into the net off Bobby's gloves. A second followed shortly after after an unchallenged shot on the edge of the box found it's way into the bottom corner. Thunder couldn't get going and found themselves four goals down going into half time. Second half and Thunder began just like the first and José managed to close down the keeper and score from a block come shot. Thunder not capitalising on the goal got sloppy with the passing and we're made to pay by Old Trafford who fired in two goals in quick succession. Elliot did manage to pull one back for Thunder with a dangerous cross into the mixer that cannoned off the Old Trafford defender and into his own goal. Unfortunately for Thunder Old Trafford were just too good today and went on to score another four very good goals. A tough one for the lads today who just weren't at the races and were made to pay for it. The Red Group has been an experience to say the least, proud of the boys in getting there in the first place but a recharge back in the Blue Group will give the boy's time to go at it again in the future ⚡.
