POSTED: March 06 2019 08:27:38 By Keith Long - United Back Up To 2nd Place After 7-0 Victory.

Beechfield United's Saturday Morning Senior Team moved back to second place in the Division 1 table following a great performance away to Manchester Medics that earned them an emphatic 7-0 victory. United have three games left to play in the Manchester Saturday Morning Football League and have a fair chance of securing runners-up spot. The first half against Medics produced some good football from both teams but Beechy always looked the better team and deservedly took the lead after eighteen minutes. Latching onto an accurate through ball Scott Foulds drifted to the bye line before sending a fine cross to Tom Helsby and he produced a smart finish for 1-0. The second goal was created by Tom Helsby who won possession just inside his own half and went on a solo run down the left flank then after he'd cut inside played the ball to Scott Foulds who's cross was met by Max Leonard who made it 2-0.

Beechy continued to create chances and should have been at least four or five goals up at half time. The second half was less than five minutes old when Max Leonard netted the third goal with a neat finish and as United dominated possession further goals soon followed. A diving header by Scott Foulds, yet another hat-trick for Max Leonard, a second goal of the game by Tom Helsby via a fabulous lob over the keeper plus the final goal of the game scored by Enow Ekule.
