- Junior Section Match Details 10th/11th March 2018
Following heavy overnight rain twelve fixtures involving Beechfield United Junior Section teams were postponed. On Saturday only seven games were played while two teams were in action on Sunday.
In the Salford and District Football League Beechfield United Under 16's Storm had home advantage for their Supplementary Cup game against local rivals Moorside Rangers Blue and Beechy were able to celebrated a 2-0 win. In difficult conditions at Littleton Road the Storm were worthy winners thanks to goals from Callum Lomax and Joe Cox. Man of the Match was Marcus Belcher.
At Stott Lane the Under 14's Tornadoes met Adlington Lazers for their latest Bolton Bury and District League Section E fixture. Dominating the match throughout the Tornadoes completed a winning league double over their opponents and collected three fully deserved points via a 4-0 victory. Voted Player of the Match was Cael Malloy and on target with goals for Beechy were Billy Wadeson (2) Fernley Davies and Ellis Kenny.
Playing their first game in five weeks were the Under 13's Storm who met Culcheth Athletic Pythons at Bolton Road. Goals by Finley Share, Adam Rothwell, Samuel Oludoyi and Man of the Match Mason Turner secured the Storm a 4-1 win in the Supplementary Cup.
The Under 12's Tornadoes (9v9) took the lead in their Supplementary Cup away tie with Swinton Junior Tigers through Man of the Match Jack Fitton. The hosts replied with an equaliser but Beechy went back in front when Jack Fitton was on target again. A second equaliser from Swinton Tigers left the teams sharing four goals at the end of normal time. Unfortunately Beechy lost a penalty-kick decider and during the shoot-out the Tornadoes goalkeeper Lewis Wallis made one great save.
In their away game against Deans Youth Panthers the Under 11's Lightning (9v9) scored seven goals for the second successive Development Group Yellow Division fixture. There was a hat trick for Kyle Stafford, two goals by David Olidoy and one each from Joel Odejesi and Demi Jones. The teams Star Player award went to Matthew Corry.
Following their away win over Manchester Maccabi Sharks on Sunday the Under 8's Lightning made it six games unbeaten. In the Development Group Green Division there were a couple of goals courtesy of Oscar Mather and one from Oliver Eckersley as Beechy won the match by the odd goal in five. Defenders Kyle Tandy who was voted Man of the Match and Kaylon Salisbury produced first-class performances.
Also playing on Sunday were the Under 8's Tornadoes who were involved in an eleven goal thriller with South Manchester Lions. At Beech Farm this Development Group Blue Division game was an exciting contest from start to finish and making a great start Beechy had the luxury of going two goals up when Alfie Lacey was on target twice. But despite vital saves from goalkeeper Oliver Wood the Tornadoes couldn't maintain their lead and heading into the last five minutes Beechy found themselves trailing by two goals. Producing a stunning fightback Beechy managed to level the score but somehow South Manchester Lions grabbed a very late winning goal. Alfie Lacey eventually ended the match with a hat trick plus a couple of goals for Stewart Kay and there were top-quality displays from Logan McFeely, George Wadeson and Flinn Rogers. Man of the Match was Daire Cox who hit the post with a brilliant effort after he initially started the move with the best pass in the whole game.
