Following a 6-2 away win over Parrswood Thursday Beechfield Saturday Morning Team extended their impressive League and Cup unbeaten run to thirteen games. With a strong line-up on view Beechy started well against Parrswood and their current run of good form was more than evident. Several chances were created forcing some good saves from the busy Parrswood keeper in the opening twenty minutes. But just before the half hour mark the home side took the lead when a free kick near the halfway line found a Parrswood forward who from inside the area planted a header into the net. Parrswood were still 1-0 at the break but three after the restart United were level when Roy Owen found a gap in the Parswood defence with a superb pass onto Man of the Match Danny Brown who's great control and body shape allowed him to calmly fire the ball home from twelve yards.

On fifty minutes Beechy grabbed the lead when a neat move in midfield led to Roy Owen again supplying a pass to Danny Brown and though his initial effort was blocked the ball rebounded back to Danny who this time made no mistake with an accurate finish off the post. Keeping the pressure on their opponents United went 3-1 up when following a corner a perfect cross saw a header by Danny Brown beat the keeper on his near post to complete a first-class hat trick. Chance after chance went begging before Beechy added their fourth goal via Kane Brannigan who was rewarded for a hard working display when he went on a clear run before rounding the keeper and finishing a well worked move. United were now well on top and hungry for more goals powered their way into a 5-1 lead in the seventy ninth minute.

After winning possession on the left wing Danny Brown worked a position to deliver a cross with the outside of his right foot and was delighted when the ball looped over the keeper for his fourth goal. United's sixth goal came just three minutes later when Beechy defended against a well worked Parswood attack. The ball had been forced forward what eventually proved to be a defence splitting pass and Wes Pierce running from his own half was left with a one-on-one with the keeper and he coolly executed a neat finish. Caught unaware in the 86th minute United conceded a second goal after allowing a Parrswood forward too much time to slot the ball into the net from the edge of the area. (25th March 2017)
