Beechfield United U/11's Storm made it seven games unbeaten in the Salford and Districts Junior League with victory over Skills United FC.

*The Under 11's STORM (9v9) were away to a team they hadn't played before this season an following a two week lay off were wary of being a bit rusty. But after a good pre-match chat all the Beechy players were fired up and confident of winning the game. The match started quite slowly and it took Storm a while to get going in what was a scrappy first twenty minutes. Beechy finally broke the deadlock after a huge error from the Skills United goalkeeper who threw the ball straight to Ismail Adetona who slotted it into the empty net. The goal added a bit more drive to Storm's play and on two occasions efforts by Ismail hit the post then just on the brink of half time Skills United won a corner and the hosts equalised. For the first five minutes of the second half it was backs to the wall for the Beechy Boys and forcing a flurry of corners Skills United took the lead.

Eventually that kick started Storm who produced their best twenty minutes of football seen at grassroots level. Beechy's tenacity, controlled aggresion, workrate, quality and skill were a joy to watch. Austin Pierce won the ball back on the halfway line and played a superb pass to Ismail Adetona who fired home the equaliser. Storm regained the lead when Joel Momoh megged a hosts defender and set-up Barkley Pope who hammered the ball home from a tight angle. Beechy added their fourth goal when they were awarded a corner and after the ball dropped to Barkley Pope he supplied another powerful finish. Ismail Adetona was on target again as he completed his hat-trick with goal number five courtesy of a superb solo effort, Skills United got their third goal following a lapse of concentration from Beechy after a corner. A fantastic second half from Storm earned them this victory though eechy could easily have hit double figures. Both Ismail and Barkley were candidates for for Man of the Match but the award went to Austin Pierce who had his best game of the season.

*At Beech Farm Playing Fields the Under 9's THUNDER met cup final opponents Monton Sport Mavericks for a Red Group fixture. With neither team being fully committed it turned out to be a very relaxed and friendly game between the sides. Beechy took a two goal lead inside the first few minutes thanks to Chase Sixsmith who scored two similar goals from great through balls. Via a tremendous curling shot Monton reduced the arrears before half time and in a rather low-key affair Monton were far more clinical and added three unanswered goals. Thunder's Player of the Match award was shared between Tiffany Kandemri and Ezra Ramage who had his best game since joing the team.

*Involved in another high scoring Red Group Development game in the Salford and Districts Junior League were Beechy Under 8's TORNADOES. Against opponents Deans Youth there were some top goals and good link-up play from the Tornadoes and though it was a tough one for game time all the boys got a good run out. Loads of chances were created and Beechy scored six goals courtesy of Arlo McFarland, Ronnie Sangster, Billy Boyd and Brayden Gilligan who got a screamer of a winner near the end.

*Rewarded for a great all-round performance were Beechy Under 11's LIGHTNING (9v9) who secured a victory over Chadderton Park Eagles. In the Manchester Youth Super League Lightning experimented with a few players in new positions. Austin Fillingham started at centre half while Charlie Drury was given a forward role. These changes seemed to work when Charlie gave Beechy the lead following three great team passing move and a calm finish. Lightning came out fighting in the second half and while Crewe Reeves Ollie Simpson, Michael Schofield and Eshan Shanahan controlled the midfield both Junior Davies and Matteo Larana worked their socks off up front. Beechy got their second goal when Matteo Larana muscled his way into the box and passed the ball into the bottom corner of the net. Goal number three came via Eshan Shanahan who raced down the wing and with a low shot gave the keeper no chance. James Hardman, Kayson Gregg, Finlay Thompson-Hale and Austin Tunicliffe were limitin their opponets to a minimum number of attacks but Chadderton Park did manage to scored a second goal with seconds to go. The whole Beechy team shared the Man of the Match award.

*The Under 10's STORM produced a quality performance in their friendly match with Urmston Meadowside. Looking very solid at the back Beechy were always in control and their link-up play was very impressive. Harry Chambers and Isaac Hargreaves were class throughout and goalkeeper George Savage had one of his best games. Storms other star players involved in the game were Seth Barber, Alfie Heighway, Oscar Pugh, Oscar Bobby-Berry, Ted Moss and Olly Twist. The goals that secured Beechy the win came via Seth, Oscar Pugh, Ted and Olly and assists for the goals were supplied by Seth, Alfie, Oscar Berry and Ted.
