- Beechy Aces Match Details April 2021
After the lockdown Beechfield United Aces resumed with their fixtures but for the remainder of 2020/2021 season will just play Division 2 league games.
On the 3rd April Beechy were at home to Fielden Park and securing a 3-1 victory moved into a mid-table position. Harry Halsey gave the Aces the lead following a free kick and always the best team throughout the match Beechy should have been more than 1-0 up at half time. In the second half Fielden Park equalised from a free kick and the visitors continued to use the long ball option as their preferred style of play. The Aces remained in control and regained the lead thanks to another well executed free kick by Man of the Match Harry Halsey. Completing the scoring was Nathan Haslam who's decisive finish guaranteed Beechy a fully deserved three points. The Aces have a succession of four away games and will be looking to maintain the winning run.
Following a 0-0 draw with Moston United on 10/4/2021 the Aces travelled to play league leaders New Moston Rangers and were let down by some poor decisions by the match official. On the hosts Astro Turf pitch Beechy were 3-0 down at the break and stand-in keeper Matty Styles had a busy ninety minutes. Beechy boss Jonathan Royle took up a role in the back four and along with the rest of the team defended with real grit and determination but more controversial decisions helped Rangers win the game 6-3, The Aces scored three very good goals courtesy of Nathan Haslam (2) and Tyler Cooke.
The Aces re-discovered the winning formula following their away game with Manchester Wanderers on 24/4/2021 thanks to a 4-1 victory. Beechy who were 1-0 up at half time scored goals via Joe Croft, Harry Halsey, Danny Regan and Nathan Haslam and the three points gained kept the Aces in fifth place in the table.
