Storm closed out an unprecedented unbeaten season with a mega performance in their last league game of the season.
Beechy started with Alfie in net, Reggie and Fred at the back with Imad and James manning the wings.
A really tight first half where both teams were trying to work out the pitch with many overhit passes - OT with the better with James having to make a last ditch challenge to save a goal.
Storm responded with their own chances - James making a breakthrough and slamming the ball into the outside of the net - turning like a pendulum Alfie was called to make a big double save to his left and then at close range to maintain the deadlock.
Caleb entering the game had an immediate impact whose shot having broken from midfield saved well by their goal keeper and worked a chance for Imad who uncharacteristically hit over the bar from close range. Another chance where Alfie was called on again to make a strong save with stalwart Reggie storming through with his powerful shot flying over the bar.
Storm did start to play some good football with Freddie often orchestrating though Storm again couldn’t find a way through.
Carefully poised on the edge of half time Storm did make a breakthrough - a freekick from OT curled looking destined for the net, Alfie making a huge save, punched the ball out and Caleb picked it up, ran through the OT defence and slotted it past the goal keeper.
Second half Storm had the better play now; Fred working the ball on the edge of the box and playing it James who finished from close range.
Imad cut a frustrated figure in the first half though being subbed back on showed his sharpness - Caleb from a kick in found James on the edge of the box who then in turn shifted over to Imad who made no mistake placing the ball into the bottom corner. Further chances as James made a huge sliding tackle to release Caleb who played through Imad whose shot was well saved.
James who had a brilliant game and involved in all the good work for storm in the second half won the ball shifted to Imad who laced to the right of the goal with the outside of his foot from distance to totally wrong foot the keeper.
Piling on the pressure and hungry for more - Imad got his hat trick with a total team steam in the middle with James and Freddie scrummaging the ball through to Imad who took his hat trick with aplomb.
OT did respond with a distance shot slapping the post but the goal of the game came shortly after. Alfie working the ball to Caleb who played through James on the right, took the ball inside and lazered it into the top right of the goal from distance.
As power play came in the priority became the clean sheet - Alfie who had looked unbeatable in net made another double save with OT one on one to cap off a brilliant all round performance for storm.
*Parents Player*
Alfie, Fred was mentioned though *James* took the parents player for a battling display, notching assists and goals today
*Coaches Player*
Could’ve gone to anyone - Imad and Caleb had combined brilliantly throughout though captain *Fred* led the team exceptionally, rolls royce of a performance defending stoutly and didn’t put a foot wrong throughout.
