Beech Farm Playing Fields was a hive of activity plus the sunny weather produced perfect conditions for the games involving several Junior Section teams.

*Getting back to winning ways were Beechy Under 10's LIGHTNING who met Winton Wanderers Mavericks. In the Green Group Lightning got off to a flyer when Kayson Gregg weaved his way past three Winton defenders and opened the scoring with a lovely left footed finish. Beechy moved the ball around well for the remainder of the first half as they dealt with any pressure from the hosts. Lightning were equally as impressive in the second half and Beechy went two goals up thanks to Eshan Shanahan who fired the ball low into the bottom corner of the net. As they continued to dominate the game Lightning's defenders remained on top while the midfield players worked their socks off but against the run of play Winton reduced the arrears from the penalty spot making it a nervy last fifteen minutes for the Beechy Boys. But Lightning didn't need to worry because within a matter of minutes George Richardson scored a fantastic brace to guarantee Beechy the win. It was difficult to pick a Man of the Match following this superb all-round performance so the whole team shared the award.

*After a few tough weeks the Under 10's TORNADOES earned themselves a fully deserved victory following their away game at Salford Storm. Having faced their opponents four times already this season Beechy knew this would be another competitive game because on each previous occasion neither side has won by more than one goal. Again the Tornadoes were without their regular goalkeeper but this didn't deter Beechy from the task ahead. In the sunshine at Stott Lane the first half of this Green Group encounter was really even with both teams having numerous chances. Just before the break Alex McGrory won the ball via a strong tackle and he linked up well with Freya Quinn who's neat pass set-up Denholm Brookes for a fantastic finish from the edge of the box to give the Tornadoes the lead at half time. Beechy improved in the second half and due to some tenacious tackling a good play from Jayden Lowe, Harry Myddleton and Ryan Cordingley chances were created and twice efforts hit the woodwork. Following another attack a Salford Storm defender was forced into a back pass to his keeper resulting in an indirect free kick to Beechy on the edge of the area. The kick was superbly worked by Harry Myddleton who slotted the ball to Denholm Brookes and he fired home his second goal of the game. Beechy were inspired by their two goal advantage but they knew they had to remain strong at the back against their dangerous opponents. Salford Storm did have chances and only a superb save from second half goalie Ralph Theaker kept Tornadoes lead intact until the hosts got a goal back minutes from the end to set-up an intense finish. The final stages of the game were end to end as Beechy threatened to score a third goal while Salford Storm searched for an equaliser. Both Alex McGrory and Denholm Brookes were candidates for Man of the Match but the award went to one of the Tornadoes stand-in keepers Reuben McCormick. This was one of Beechy's best performances of the season.

*The Under 10's STORM were in action against Winton Wanderers Sonics a team they have played 3/4 times this season and this was another close game between the teams. Winton started on the front foot playing some good football and Storm faced a tough opening ten minute period but slowly Beechy got their passing game into gear and created a few problems for the hosts who against the run of play took the lead. Storm responded well a created a few chances which went begging and Beechy were still trailing by the one goal at half time. Into the second half and it was much the same with two evenly matched teams giving 100% commitment and Storm equalised when the ball broke loose in midfield and Jack Sinclair went on a clear run before supplying a neat finish into the bottom corner of the net. Later in the half Jack suffered a horrible injury when a Winton player stood on his hand which required a trip to hospital. The incident seemed to knock the Beechy Boys off their stride and a lapse of concentration allowed Winton to regain the lead. Storm pushed hard to get back level again but in the dying seconds the hosts scored their third goal and won the game. Beechy's Man of the Match was Harvey King who played in almost every position in the game.

*Making it four games unbeaten were Beechy Under 11's TORNADOES (9v9) who were away to Prestwich Eagles. In the Blue Group the Tornadoes created another high scoring display that included several excellent goals. On target for Beechy were Luke Bennett, Max Blood, Lucio Riva, Lynott Cassidy and Zack MacKinnon.

*Nine wins on the trot for the Under 9's STORM easily confirmed their run of impressive performances. Beechy faced AFC Urmston Predators at home in the Red Group and their reward was another stunning victory in the Salford and Districts League. Bobby Lowe, Isaac Hargreaves, Kade Doyle, Alfie Heighway, Harry Heathcote-Clare, Oscar Bobby-Berry got the goals.

*Beechy Under 8's THUNDER played their last home game of the season against Flixton Athletic who will be Thunder's opponents in the Challenge Cup final. In this Red Group fixture Beechy got off to a fast start and took a healthy lead with two thunderous efforts from Harrison Spencer. Flixton pulled a goal back but Thunder extended their lead thanks to a smart finish by George Kelly before Flixton scored again near to half time. Beechy were slow starters in the second half and Flixton netted three unanswered goals until Thunder came roaring back and Antonio Embalo was on target via a close range finish followed by Oscar Spencer who netted the equaliser. After taking on the role of goalkeeper George Kelly gave Beechy the lead again when he kicked the ball from his hands and after one bounce it ended up in the back of Flixton's net. The visitors equalised but in the closing minutes Thunder were rewarded with their match winning goal when Oscar Spencer headed the ball home from a corner.

*Charlie Schofield, Lucas King, Alfie Garner and Cory Davies scored the goals for the Under 8's STORM who shared eight goals following their Salford and Districts League Green Group home game with Winton Wanderers Blazers.

*The Under 15's THUNDER had no fixture in the East Manchester Junior League so they arranged a friendly match at home on Sunday morning with Astley and Tyldesley. The teams produced an entertaining eighty minutes but it was the visitors who won the game 5-3. Rafael Djacy (2) and Pedro Miguel-Santos got the goals for Thunder who's Man of the Match Award was shared between Oliver Nangle and Oliver Dalton-Bunker.
